Glad you could make it out. It's been waaaaaay too long. Out to the traveling Kru. Hope Duran Duran Duran was dope. A friend actually Emailed me and told me you were playing in Philly as well. Wish I would have known in time. Brrraaaaap.
nah, i didn't play. things got a little twisted in the translation, but i do find it funny that word got around that fast that i was in town. teehee!!! i think we should be able to get a gig sorted soon, as i did do a little reminding of the fact that i really wanna come back and drop the bass.

missed duran duran duran's actual set at the party, but we chilled at his house for a bit and got a private dj session while we zoned out. :)

there was some DAMN good crazy mashup breakcore bizness tho. fantastic soundsystem at this space called "the vacuum". highly recommend checking it out.

so every time i go to NY now, i get sick.

was up for 2 hours with the worst fever of my life last night.

recap of my experience.

much respect to djshiva. thanks for coming out. glad you had fun. and glad we got to say hi for a minute.

big up the stamina crew for still holding it down even though others always end up calling it quits WAY before due time.

NO MOSHING! fuck that. all about the energy. there was tons of it brought and created.

much hate goes out to the odd crowd. very weird vibes and def by far, the weirdest dubwar ive been to yet. but will also have to note it was one of my fav so far!

HUGE respect to XI for killin it. and his man mike. sucks there seemed to be some technicals though. D1 i guess i was the drunkest of the night during your set man. cant say much but i do remember hearing some big tunes. joe glad to have you back, as well as jua. he came back bringing the fiya! for sure. <3 and musch respect to the majestic twinsound. always bringing such heavy vibes. i swear i was going to vibrate out the door or something. loves system was killin it!.....and of course dq brought it proper late night style as always.

i WILL say this though. i agree about the reloads so ealy on ....seriously started pissin me off. a tune would drop and wed be freaking out, and then itd be stopped and taken back. after like 3 seconds! stupid.

and sucks so many peoples jackets were being fucked with.

next month=serious business! of course i will be reachin.
big up the donut crew!

This night was absolutely madness. XI stepping up to the plate in a big way, obliterating the dance nice and early, showing NYC how the frozen north does things. Out to all the blatants too: D1, Joe Nice, Juakali, Incyde (fancy seeing you there!), and crew.

Hold tight certain man who shit his pants though. Certain man.

Also out to everyone who had to stand outside of the club freezing to death at 5 in morning when they really shouldn'tve had to (particularly certain people). Strong look.

Overly impressed by the club, soundsystem and performances though: I wasn't expecting it at all, but this night is completely and inarguably on the level of jams in LDN. Will be reaching again.

Back home in Toronto now, and having the whole experience finally hit me in full force, heres what I have to say...

First and foremost nothing but love and blessings to the Dubwar family, the people and the city of New York. Me and the rest of the Canadians fell so deep in love with all of you that it made us all miserable driving back home.

Big up Love nightclub, which was one of the beautiful establishments I have ever seen, complimented with that fact that it was one of the best run nightclubs I have ever been to. And without a doubt, has one of the heaviest and most beautiful sound systems I have ever had the pleasure of bing immersed in. BOOM TING!

Hold tight the Majestic Twinsound man dem, who in my opinion was the perfect way to begin the night. A bit disappointed that there wasn't more of a crowd for their set, but pretty much the whole time I was one foot skanking with my gunfinger in the air.

Maximum boost to the man like D1. Watching a pioneer of the music going at it right before my eyes was completely mental, yet special at the same time. You're rapid fire, long, double dropped mixes sent me MAD... and busting mad joke outside the venue while freezin our nuts off was hilarous (although a little bit unfortunate, to say the least).

Mr. Nice... what else can I say brother, like I told you before when we last linked up in Canada, you are one of the best performers that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing and have yet to fail to deliver when you perform. Your set is what made me and my man dem completely lose our voices the next day. Glad to see that you have made it through all your recent hardships and are back in full force!

To Juakali, x-amount of respect and blessings to you. Getting to be on the Dubwar stage and share the mic with you was a crowning achievement for me, especially with it being so last minute and on the spot. Your vibe and energy level is something in itself to admire, as is your generosity and humbleness. I hope to talk to you again soon as the way you do your work is something that I highly rate and would love to learn from.

To the Canadian warrior known to you all as XI... well, you already know how I feel blood! You made me more proud to be from Toronto (and in New York). And to think that this is only a taste of things to come for you, it is almost SCARY. I don't even think you know how much it meant to me that you wanted me to get on mic for your set, or how proud I was to rock the stage with you (and one of if not the biggest stages, at that).

And last, but by no means at all least, BIG ALL THE DUBWAR FANS! It was such a beautiful thing to meet you all and to step into your world. Hold tight Heidi, Sarah, Nicole and all the other lovely ladies in the place (god, i could have an entire next thread about that), Black Plague, Headhunta, Kimchi, Human, and anybody/everybody who was there. You lot are what made it an experience that none of us will forget anytime soon. Hold tight all my Toronto peoples, know say me love you but I think you all gotta take notes from New York on how to PARTY FORREAL!

ps - sorry that this turned into a fuckin essay, but lots of big ups were in order and you done know i am gonna give love respect where its due! Can you tell it was my first time in NYC?

PS: If anyone sees that girl doing the lights tell her if she wants a husband, or even just an extremely subservient companion to fulfill her every request, she only need mention it, and I'm down for the cause.

Seriously though, what was going on there!?!?

I've been crippled in bed with a temperature of up to 103 since Saturday morning.

Sick night, can't type, must consume Nyquil.

Safe,
