HELP please!! Need dubstep

Seriously people anyone know where i can find dubstep in Cardiff. There never seems to be anything going on! And i cant afford bristol every weekend! Help please?

Mate I feel your pain

Things are slowly starting to move around here, theres a few promoters putting on dubstep nights, or whacking a dubstep side room in drum n bass nights etc.

Club delight have been bringing a few of the bigger names to Cardiff recently, had hijak, headhunter and hatcha coming down through them...which is nice. Theyve been bringing in some fairly decent soundsystems too (especially in bar cuba, was just a pity it was such a big room for it. Theyve moved now though to what used to be the red rooms, now called club move i think) so yeah keep an eye out for them.

Aswell as that theres monthly/bi monthly drum n bass nights called elemental that has had dubstep played there before in a side room (by me once actually

) and theyre quite good fun, just havent got a decent venue sorted yet really.

Aside from that there is always the bonus level bass crew in Newport! Theyve had some biggles looking nights down there, ive just never actually made it down for one yet

Geiom played a while back, which is such a big look for south wales!

But yeah, www.thetrainline.com does some lovely 6 quid return tickets to bristol

Just booked mine for subloaded actually! Think weve got to accept that for now at least we are pretty blessed with Bristol on the door step

Edit: Just had a thought, theres a night on next friday (as in a week tomorrow or w/e) in the welsh club (clwb ifor bach) that looks wicked. Not strictly dubstep or anything, but the main room is drum n bass/jungle (with klute on the bill

) and then a room of dubstep/dancehall/a few other bits and pieces to boot. Only 6 quid, see you there!

i know u don't wanna do bristol, but there is Subloaded on 1st Feb (and also Skream @ Native club the same nite, ooops), and then 2562 playing at The Tube the nite after.

2562 on the saturday you say? Might be keen for that, im staying with a mate of mine Bristol all weekend, going for a meal or some shit saturday so might see if I can lead the party down to..."the tube"

it's worth tuning into Radio Cardiff to keep informed of any nights 98.7fm There seems to be Dubstep shows on a few of the nights. Or keep an eye on some of the DJs...

Sounds like your getting sorted but a few more upcomings you might want to check are:

Last Fri of the month, Holodeck at the Welsh club seems to run a second dubstep room on the regular now featuring Mondo and friends - some wicked B2Bs coming up next Fri (25 Jan);

Dave and the Aperture boys not only run the monthly Acryllic (3rd Thurs of the month at the Glo - where Magenta just ripped it up something wicked this month!) but are progressively integrating more dubstep into their DnB nights. I hear they've got Plastician, Caveman and others at the Students Union on 1 Feb.

I also hear Truth and friends are having a Valentines Dirty Disco at the Glo with DnB (upstairs) and dubstep (downstairs).

Cardiff is definitely catching up at a pace ....

If I can get enough people from back here to come down it might be just about cheap enough to get a taxi back from there to my house in Trefforest. Spare bed etc. and about a 10 min train ride from Cardiff.

Its about 20 miles, reckon you could blag that for 40 quid. So 6-7 quid each? Well, its a thought...
