Very good film. I'll refrain from commenting on it as i've not seen it for a long time.

One of my faves. Also the book 'Rashomon' (which is featured in the film) is an ace read

Absolutely love this film, all stuff about samurais, the voiceover reading hagakure, it's like old-fashion samurai movie meets scarface-godfather. Forest Withaker is amazing in his role, and that french guy with the speech about bears... lots of good points in this film.

Also remark the great scene of the ganster singing Public Enemy in the bathroom.

About Jim Jarmusch i have to say that his latest flicks have lost very much since he want to be so fashionable, calling her good friends to act in his movies... coffe and cigarettes was a bad movie for me. And didn't want to watch Broken Flowers for that reason.

Dead Man is another great movie.

It's the overwhelming rubbishness of the old italian guys, getting out of puff after running a few feet, etc.

It's amazing they can run a bath, let alone a crime family.

Think the old guy rapping "Flava Flav cold lampin" is the funniest.

Yeah Contakt, deeply eccentric, but all my favourite films are :D
Hmm....

No, BOTTROP doesn't like it apparently and I think it's an incredibly cringe worthy waste of celluloid too.

One of my all time favorites, even wrote an essay about it maybe five years ago or so. Jim Jarmusch = nothing but quality and the soundtrack by RZA = the best production from him since the 36 Chambers.

Hands up, who's got Hagakure on the shelf like I do? Had to get that immediately after seeing the flick for the first time.

maybe is an overrated movie, but for me is a good one, watched more than once, and for me has some brilliant moments with images and RZA's music. And some good dialogues too.
