I was fine until I went to Amsterdam (in about 95) and then a full week of home made mdma and purple haza and double zero all the side effects came at once - anxiety, panic attacks, shortness of breath but it took me a year to give up fully.
Now I am fine if I limit to a few drags - I'm then happy as can be for hours. In fact I didnt blaze once on sat night but reckon I passive smoked about 5 spliffs
so thanks everyone!
Fortunately reggae and dub has always been a drug in its own right for me so dubstep + a few red stripes (or stella if the red stripes dry up real quick!) is all I need to dance all night and I couldn't say that about the house music scene where no drugs meant home by midnight!

Weird that. I stopped for 3 weeks. I lost ALL my short-term memory, and most of my vocabulary.[b]racket wrote:I smoke too much and get a bit twitchy if i aint holding.
Could do without the short term memory loss though....
So I started again, and now I speak proper. Before it weren't none too good.

Love the stuff. If I run out then I'm not desperate to get some although I would like a joint. Sometimes a benz can last a week, sometimes it can go in a couple of days.
It's expensive but well worth it and I enjoy life and especially music a lot more when I've had a joint.
Yes it's made me a lot more lazy but I don't really see a problem with my memory. I do get paranoid but thats usually for a couple days after I run out of green.

been smoking for 10+ yrs, everyday for maybe half that. i cut down when i'm broke, and i know it makes me less motivated to do things like work, school, etc. but it makes me MORE motivated to make music or do anything creative so it's all about strategic smoking... big ups to the herb. nothing quite like a spliff or a pile of bongs while listening to slow, heavy bass.

it's all about use and/or abuse.
then again i have caned it every day for about 15 years (and i'm doing so now!) so i'm probably not in a position to comment!
definitely demotivates you if you smoke too much, "i'lll just have another spliff....." and it always makes me laugh how some people call something that is five times as carcinogenic as tobacco "the healing herb"!
great for making tracks though, totally locks you in. i love getting a quarter of skunk and caning it in 2 days while making a tune.........

mr shadetek is bang on i think as far as music making goes... it can be well hard to get stuf locked stoned , especially the technical stuff...i mean its all cool to bang out a beat on an mpc if yr mashed but actually putting a track together, mixing objectively and eqing is a bit much for me..... and lets be honest its always going to sound better stoned!
i think the best times to be stoned are when you've nothing to worry about , eg flat tidied up , 5 hours of tuneage done , dinner ready to go , dubs lined up.. once you get to the stage of blazing for breakfast .. it just messes so much shit up , speaking personally.
henry a day keeps the doctor away ?
