i dunno if ppl remember but at the September 2006 DMZ @ Mass a promo DMZ cd was handed out 2 every1 who went, it included a Mala vs. Loefah mix that was absolutely banging (its also been posted on the forum).. i was wondering if anyone could help me and supply a tracklist for the early part of the mix??...and if thats not possible than can anyone tell me what all those reggae/dub tunes are called and what the first two Dubstep tunes in the mix are called????

please!
I'm no good with reggae/dub so I won't even try them (apart from Sleng Teng of course!!).

the dubstep:

1 - no idea, sounds like Mala
2 - ten dread commandments VIP (god I wish this could see wax)
3 - can't remember
4 - coki, can't remember!
5 - horror show
6 - neverland
7 - root
8 - blue notez
9 - tortured
10 - bury da bwoy
11 - i remix
12 - da wrath vip

Everything apart from the first 4 tunes has been released, but I'm shit with names of old dubs so hopefully someone else can help... I can re-upload the set if needs be. :4:
the first reggae/dancehall chune in the segment are in order:

Dennis Brown - Smiling Face
Tenor Saw - Pumpkin Belly (sleng teng riddim)
Anthony Red Rose - Under Me Fat Thing (sleng teng riddim)
Cutty Ranks - Retreat

...then start the dubwize selection...

mutch thanks ThinKing 4 the reup

been trying to find out a tune that Skream played at DMZ in October for far too long...

Its a sort of steppy one with a bassline that is delayed , quite stabby, and has a sort of arpeggi in it.... it might just go up a fith or whatevr,

if anyone can help...? i know i'm a bit vague.

Track ID - Mala?

Post by kushti » Thu Jan 31, 2008 2:04 pm

This is a track Mala played on his 2nd (i think) kiss fm appearance.

Tracklist says its James - Chakra but i'm not too sure of that because the track following it is "shake it" by skream so thought they may have made a mistake with this.

Sounds like Mala....and this track hurts me every time i hear it!!!

^^ would like to know this tune also

not so sure that it is mala, doesnt have that modesty and 'how the fuck did this get imagined' element that mala has, but a sick tune nonetheless
