House Music

Post by BaronVon » Fri Feb 01, 2008 3:20 pm

Can't find a thread about House music so here we go.

Ive been delving into the history of electronic music this week and looking at the transition from Disco to House. Mainly been listening to DJ sets fro the early pioneers like Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles and a load of stuff from Chicago Radio stations in the eighties.
Heres some links

^^^ Nice
My hard drive is taking a battering.
The music is making the shitty weather seem a whole lot better. Nothing better than some House to lift the mood.

Really been getting into the fidget house stuff of late, worth checking out some of the stuff on Dubsided if you haven't already

Also some of the stuff on Playhouse from a few years back, Losoul and Isolee being favourites. My top tunes by them would be Beau mot plage by Isolee and Sunbeams and the Rain by Losoul - really lush stuff.
Hmm....

Without house, there would be no dubstep, no dnb, no breaks, no nothing we love. Fine if you dont like it, but that is a strongly uneducated statement. Learn your history.
