Longage. If they gave Reason VST support then it would be a serious bit of equipment. I dont know why they dont. Some dumb shit reason no doubt.

For me it's just the fact that I like the "gear" in Reason. Tho lately I'm trying to work in Abelton by itself.

I think they said they weren't going to give it VST or audio functions so it wouldn't just be an inferior version of Cubase.

Not saying it would be mind, just what the propellerheads guy said.

Stability...Reason is one of the most stable programs out there because its a "closed" software environment...which explains why Propheads invented REWIRE...

its stable as hell, and doesnt eat your CPU as much as other VST user hosts...

for example i use reason as a sequencer, but i have fav VST-s so i always export import stuffs from cubase into reason and vica versa..
yeah i know rewire, but my machine is weak as a chicken leg :P

i have an idea: give me kűlots of maűoney to buy a Mac and i promise i'll use only Logic

yeah alright being a 'sequencer' thread I wonder are there many people out there still using outboard synths, sound modules, fx boxes, drum machines and samplers (you know, real HARDWARE) all SEQUENCED off a mac or PC??

And if so what do YOU prefer to use for that?? and why?
:L

And that makes it "fucked" does it. Sounds more like your mate is a mong.

Using Cubase for programmed music is like using a kettle to knock in a nail. It can be done, but it is not ideal.

What? I would strongly disagree... and i have used all types of sotware including but not limited to every sequencer that has been mentioned so far in this thread...

That comment is a bigger waste of time :6:

Yeah, both types of sequencer have their advantages.

That said, Manray - if your mate is happy with the tunes he's making in Renoise, why should he give a fuck whether he can learn Cubase or not, unless he's planning to do meat and potatoes work recording bands or something?

I have used pro tools for about 3 years, recently i got a new mac running leopard and Digidesign havent got of their ass and enabled pro tools for leopard yet....so I started got Logic 8.

Seriously I cant see myself going back to Pro Tools in a hurry esp for Electronic production.

Reason 4 rewired in logic is fucking wickid and its so quick to set up...you can rewire A WHOLE REASON TUNE IN ABOUT A MINUTE!!! where as in pro tools it used to take me about 10.

Seriously how fucking rad are the logic 8 eq's...and the fact that you can see the eq graphic on each channel...and it sounds fantastic...the built in plugs shit all over the digidesign ones...im so impressed with it!
