No doubt. Everyone should check a track called final sleep by svarte greiner you can stream the full track with the occasional bleep every 30 seconds here http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=25194

Also, its been mentioned in another ambient thread, but the Cliff Martinez Solaris OST is absolutely stunning!

Helios posted a free tune on his blog yesterday, under his Keith Kenniff moniker: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... =357802722

And he's also given away his remix of "Where it Ends" by Boy In Static: http://rcrdlbl.com/2008/01/31/download_ ... lios_remix_

Some of the best ambient stuff right now is coming out of net labels. Check these two out; take pills die and test tube. Loads and loads of great free stuff on each. http://www.monocromatica.com/ and www.takepillsdie.blogspot.com.

My pleasure. It's 135 bpm if any adventurous DJs want to drop it in a set...

walter/wendy carlos - sonic seasonings (think thats the right name anyhoo)

what ambient sounded like back in 1972. its amazing how much this has influenced people like KLF (chill out for e.g.) and Boards of Canada, well melodically and harmonically at least. :)
is it?
