First tape i bought was some Vibealite Rave compilation in about 1992.
First CD i think was DJ SS Jazz & Bass vol 1 (1996)

i still buy some now... certain underground labels still only putting things out on cassette...

one of my own projects is forthcoming on cassette... though i doubt it'll sell more than about 10 cos not many people have tape decks any more...

Only reason i stopped buying was because my walkman broke and my deck kept chewing everything up.

Mine was Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Vol 2..got me through GCSE's and A Levels..he should have called it music for revising to.

It's aged well.

I think mine was probably the Can remix album - Can, Sacrilege. Listened to it again the other day, some good stuff on there. Pity mine's all scratched to bits.

It's hard to say because I was rocking the cassettes until the early 90's. I want to say it was an Orb cd, not sure which one. UFOrb was the first of theirs I had but it was tape. Maybe it was Adventures Into the Ultraworld. Quality listening material to the day.

Yeah... first recorded music I bought was a Tricky cassette... oldschool.

The first proper electronic I bought was FSOL's Accelerator. Good album.

I think my brother gave me my first electronic album, Underworld-Dubnobasswithmyheadman or it was A Guy Called Geralds 'Voodoo Ray EP'.
