Blimey, I used to rather like some of the stuff he played in the early 90's.
It's shocking that someone should get a jail sentence for carrying drugs into a country with incredibly strict drug laws.

the new backscatter machines are already installed here in new york's airports.
your whole body comes up on the screen. the scan goes right through clothes.

Yeah Rekordah mentioned that the other day, apparently it was on the bottom of his shoe! Utterly insane that someone can get jailed for walking on a piece of cannabis that is so small it's invisible to the human eye. It's also utterly insane to build a load of man made islands on a stretch of coast that has massive waves and has lost several builders of said islands to said waves already, that is another matter however.

They werent scanning everyone. Just the luck of the draw I suppose. Its better to sneak it through in your luggage anyway.TNT wrote:So u cant even balls a qtr out of Holland anymore cos it'll show up?Tomity wrote:Have seen those in amsterdam's airport as well. This sort of stuff makes me _seriously_ angry. Fair enough he should have been more careful but 4 years? It sounds like he will be serving it as well as past cases have proven.
I'm very sad for him because 2grams of marijuana should not rob you of 4 years of your life, i dont care who what where or why. This is 2008 and the punishment should fit the crime.

A British tourist, Keith Brown, spent four years in jail for the possession of 0.002 grams of cannabis. Bert Tatham, a Canadian UN official who advised the Afghan government was also jailed for carrying 0.5 grams of hashish and two poppy seeds into the country.
In terms of drugs laws, as time goes on they become more harsh. Recreational drugs used to be classed as a medical issue 100 years ago. Its only in recent history that they've become a legal issue.manray wrote:This sort of stuff makes me _seriously_ angry. Fair enough he should have been more careful but 4 years?
