Things that cheer you up..
Over the last few days there has been a severe case of negativity going around. So in order to counteract that, i came up with this little thread. What things put a smile on your face, feel free to post what ever it is regardless of how explicit it is, but bare in mind others will be reading.
I guess i'll start the ball rolling. It has to be said that being in a group of people with the same interests puts the greatest grin on my face... Other wise it is any activity that requires absolute concentration.
a bit vague, but perhaps i will narrow it down as the thread grows.
Now what's yours?

and of course other stuff, but you can't help grin when a wall of sub jiggles at your knackers and makes your eyes shake.

this is probably going to be a negative comment, but taking the piss out of people does put a smile on my face. only if it's light hearted though as you end up feeling like a proper prik if it goes too far and you end up upsetting people
but on a more positive note, music (especially mixing, such a good feeling
) and spending time with people you enjoy being with
oh and sex and cuddles too
been a while for either though

The one thing that always, without fail cheers me up is playing records. That is, if Im not feeling so down that I cant bring myself to play, kinda screwed when that happens... but it hasnt in a loooooog time.
A good long drive used to do it, but then I moved to LA where going 5 miles up the highway could end up being a good long drive and it kinda took some of the fun out of it for me. Its gotta be out in the country, away from people and other drivers for it to really have full theraputic value, that way Im not concentrating on staying alive and can get lost in the drive.
A phat bowl, a binger, splif, zoot, j, snapper, nug, bongfodder, hornfill, etc will also do the trick most days. Get my mind off the bad and into a proper state to play records.

Verbal Jousting I think is the term your looking for, a healthy battle of words with a fellow human being that is equal to yourself in skill is up there as one of the things most likley to cheer me up!badger wrote:this is probably going to be a negative comment, but taking the piss out of people does put a smile on my face. only if it's light hearted though as you end up feeling like a proper prik if it goes too far and you end up upsetting people

I really enjoy going for long drives. Since forever i have enjoyed it, was something i loved as a kid, my dad would say to me lets go, and we get in the 4x4, drive for a really long arse time until we got to a place and then go off road.... was sick.
other wise a good chat, with anyone cheers me up.

Making music - but not ever finishing any tunes makes me
Mixing, drinking, seing friends, dancing like a prik, sex, cuddles, going on holiday (5 1/2 weeks to go), seeing my nephew, goin to the football (especially if we destroy Arsenal), playing football, eating nice food, going for a long walk in the park with my ipod on.....
I am fairly easy to please
