i listen to lots of diverse stuff, techno, electro-acoustic, jazz, experimental, dnb, electro, but i think i understand what the guy says, sometimes i feel maybe i'm over listening dubstep (maybe 50% of my listening time), and maybe this affects my perception of sound, i find myself waiting for the bass in tracks that the bass is already playing, and when out clubbing i often dis tracks djs play, saying there's no bass... but no way, i wouldnt be able to listen to dubstep all day, there's times when u want no beat, times when you want something natural instead of processed electronic music, times when u want to hear a song... What was said earlier is true, people dont listen deep, maybe we cant really put a line to where hearing and listening differ (in my language at least there's no distinction), but surelly most people listen superficially, they just dont use enough processing power (or not at all)
