Right now Im hoping that my fears of being laid off in a few weeks are unfounded... they are changing procedures in a way that is essentially getting rid of my position, but they keep reasuring me that this 're-purposing' and 're-structuring' of our department will benifit us all and will be better in the long run. It really sucks cause I was only planning on staying here for another few months til I get a car, so if I get laid off ahead of that its really gonna fuck up shit for me. :| I should go back to school...

Me too, Im probably just over-reacting... the companies been pretty good to me so far, Ive just been thinking about it all day so far cause they started the first round of changes today. My boss comes in at the end of my shift so hopefully I can get more actual info about it and less hearsay and ease my mind a bit...

thanks though, any good job openings over there, maybe I should take advantage of it and move... think of the positves right?

yeah exactly. one door closing opens another one and all that. you should move over if you can find something :)

well it depends what sort of job you're after i suppose and i'd have no idea how you'd find one from america, maybe there's agencies you could do it through or something.

need to get a decent one myself, just never seem to find the time when i'm working full time and as lazy as i am. thinking of moving cities too, no idea how i'd be able to find a job and somewhere to live somewhere else though

decisions decisions...

Yaknow, if I had a car I wouldnt mind so much... I need to get off this graveyard shift anyway... who knows, it could all end up working out for the better anyway, things have a way of working themselves out

Yeah, its hard enough finding one in LA, let alone London... worth looking into though - who needs a flatmate? :D

Stop that negative thinking.

If you were meant to leave that job, you would have done so on your own accord.

Now.. stop smoking the remains of Trix left at the bottom of the box.

And get yo'self a gun.

Or another job.

london really doesn't appeal to me at all apart from the music scene. granted, that's a pretty big plus but you have to be able to live there too

You guys are right... no more negativity. Whats meant to be will happen... I just hate that feeling of uncertanty that corporate jobs can bring sometimes when words like 're-structuring' and 're-purposing' are said, I like to be the one who makes major decisions in my life.

Von, dont you know all Americans have guns? We're all given one at birth with a certificate for an extra large SUV and a happy meal. :P Ive actually got two on me right now, for 'protection'.

Saying I were to move over there, hypothetically, where would be a good place to live? Ive heard LDN is waaaay expensive, but the music scene is good...
