i'm thinking of manchester or bristol. both have fairly good music scenes, bristol's very good for dubstep though, but more expensive. basic rule is that the south of england's going to be much more expensive than the north
got some mates that might be moving to brighton so could possibly tag along with them and at least know some people there. and brighton's close enough to get to london fairly easily. shonky lives there though...

I would have said don't bother moving to Manchester but loads of really good little nights have cropped up and the scene has improved immensley in the last few months I was considering moving away but I am enjoying living here quite a bit more now.

Leeds is the place to be. Cheaper than the South AND a good music scene.
