ez everybody...
Originally from Auckland,New Zealand now callin London, sw4, home. Basically the reason for touching down here was for the music, most the music i'm into had it's beginnings in the uk so made sense to make the move...
Was a dnb dj back home for about 4 or so years, into the sound for about 6 years, feelin the whole spectrum but really feelin artist like calibre, d bridge, klute, deeper side of dnb.
Came over here and started listening further afield and discovered dubstep - big basslines, deeep vibes, new and evolving music, just what I was hoping to find, good vibes, good crew. Gotta credit cockney violen for starting it all for me though...
Big up dj's, produers, promoters, supporters of the sound and the dubstepforum.com crew!!!chur!!!

I'm Rick James Bitch!!!

My name is Michael and i'm relatively new i don't know anyone on the forum really and am sometimes intimidated by the family. But i shouldn't be yea?
I like comics and i'm an illustrator and writer, i play Dubstep around Christchurch and love doing it!!!! there ain't to many of us but im one of the 'little ones' The big guys in the scene here stay away from me cause i'm nerdy and like 10 years younger from them (emo?). I live by the beach in a big old house looking over the ocean and the house is full of amazing junk, the old lady who passed away left there for the family to sort out. She used to go to auctions and buy boxes upon boxes of stuff. She owned a junk store in Sumner. I work at the junk store some times so if you are looking for anything in particular i would be glad to keep an eye or two out!!! I mainly draw fantasy and Science fiction (I also write comics and have a few collaborators working on them with me), but also new design stuff so if you need any of that work done PM me. I find living in New Zealand amazing and think i will always end up here, i am 21 and just begining to develop myself in this great planet despite it's nastyness on the side. I really like Dubstep, Minimal, Ambient, techno, prog, reggae, dub, anything really. I have two shows in christchurch, one which is broadcast to about 4 feet away from the studio and another which is for all around the Diamond Habour penisula. Which should be going to stream in about a month. I'm a vegetarian and love cooking for people so if anyone ever needs a place to stay in christchurch give me a PM also. We have lots of outdoor parties here and i get involved in those so if anyone ever wants to play at one give me a yea!!! The parties are done by an organiseation named Massive
www.massivenz.com to check it out.
I think thats me, but I am still finding out new things every day.
Sorry for the long post
all your chests!!!!
Thank and ello

hi, completly new to dubstep so be easy! been into music for most of me life-currently 34 and living in Witney, oxfordshire. i'm a bloke, and me favorite band is called the Cardiacs. very messed up guitar stuff.when it comes to music i'm fairly open minded, not into chart crap mind you.
got into dubstep through a mate as i heard some round his house, couldn't tell you what it was as i aint got a clue, thus joining this site to have a rattle of brains and meet like minded souls.
i got the Benga album other day, dont know if he's rated as good or bad but i liked most of it, especially the more messed up stuff.
i've heard Boxcutter too and Distance(i think thats what he/they are called)- there's probably different kinds of Dubstep and from what i've heard Boxcutter's me fave.
i like festivals too, always a good laugh and good people to meet.
anyways, Hello to you.

I've been lurking around for a while, figured I'd finally join.
I'm a producer, produce a lot of everything but mostly everything that I've signed and have put out there is trance... you can listen to it on my page which is in my sig.
I'm originally from DC/MD/VA area (sup Mr. Joe NIce) but am lucky to be studying in the UK for the term. I was able to make it out to DMZ show and was stunned by the music. So I figure I'll put my production experience towards dubstep for the next few tunes and see what comes out... I'll be posting them around the board somewhere.
Cheers,
Nishant

Hello All!
First a link to our Pure Fire Crew mix so this doesn't come across like too much of an advertisement:
www.broklynbeats.net/AC03.mp3
I've been reading this very dope forum for awhile, but this is my first post. I run Applecore Mailorder out of Brooklyn, as well as Broklyn Beats Records. We've expanded our label's shop in the past year to become Applecore Mailorder and have expanded our stock of underground breaks and breakcore to include dubstep and grime, among rare/used items ragga jungle, DJ tools and our own in-house releases.
This post is primarily for U.S. dubstep heads looking for a more inexpensive mailorder, but with our weak war dollar it may appeal to others. Our shop is now open in Brooklyn with a large stock of dubstep, breakcore, ragga jungle and much more. It's just over the Williamsburg Bridge from downtown Manhattan and by appointment only. All info is at our shop:
www.applecoremailorder.com
Check our last 12" Drop the Lime's "Sky City Rising"!!! Our next release is a Mathead 12" and we look forward to posting some more fresh traxxx for y'all!
Peace, Criterion

Zed here, representing the 'Midlands Dubstep Movement', helping to build up the scene in Birmingham, UK and beyond...
DarkfireAudio is proudly Brum's first dubstep label...elevating the artform since 2008!
Good to be working with talented producers like Juttla, Emile, Brace, Fever, The Doctor, Tribestar and Silentspace, showcasing next level sounds from the heart of the UK and linking the influences of DNB/jungle/breakz with dubstep
also lovin' the Midlands soundsystem roots n' culture - big up Makaya Sound, King Earthquake, Hytal Bosrah and more...
spread the blessing worldwide and keep the fire burning
Prepare for the second coming...

Now then kids.
Recently after 15 or so years of techno/dnb/breaks I've been knocked on my arse by dubstep and have loved every second of it!
Currently sourcing tracks and should have a mix to share soon.
Just found out that Skream and Plastician are playing a festival just down the road from Leeds in May so am a happy boy today.

Hello!!
I've been lurking for a while, but have just started spamming the board, I might get bored and fuck off, but i'll probably just stay here and state the obvious from time to time.
