New Muteqx track - "Neptune" (Get ur 320 reqs in!)

Post by muteqx »

Hey all,

Just finished another tune, this time heading off in a much more melodic direction than the dirty-techy bizniss of Game Grid (forum | mp3).

This is more of an album or radio track than a dancefloor ripper - mellow dubstep to take you to a higher place

Muteqx - Neptune
- 4.0MB, ABR 128kbps MP3.

320 / FLAC available on request, so get those PMs in.

Comments appreciated as ever - hope you like it!

great track mate! I really dig the live oboe samples, and the laid back psychedelic vibe. I'm definitely going to be giving this a rinse in the bar next week.
i can't turn down the bass. the whole song is bass.

Yeah big up my mate Ralph on the oboe there - I just asked him to improvise around a key and a feel, and it came out really well. He didn't even hear the tune as I was working on it - was an experiment for me, as I wanted to avoid influencing the direction of his improvisation too much. (I didn't want it to sound like he was jamming over a backing track - know what I mean?)

Glad people are digging this one... next track is nearly ready now too, so watch the forums in the next few days! :D

Overwhelming response, thanks everybody! Did I hit you all up OK, or did I miss anyone?

Internet Exploder and passwords in URLs!

Post by muteqx »

Hey, to anyone I PM'ed with a link that couldn't get it to work, I realised it's because you're probably using Internet Explorer and it doesn't support the:

Code: Select all

http://username:password@www.hostname.com/
format of URL any more, according to this site.

According to my server stats, there are about 28 of you who couldn't get it to work! (Though only one of you PMed me to say so.)

So if you still have the PM and couldn't get the link to work, the username and password are contained in the URL, and you can substitute them in yourself to get it working, if you know what you're doing.

For anyone else who couldn't get the link to work - either try it in Firefox / Opera / some other browser, or PM me again and I'll send you instructions for Internet Exploder.

Sorry about any problems caused - now I know, it won't happen next time.
