Ah, right. Thanks y'all.

(A rookie could easily get something like this sound by alternating between some presets, no? Just play the same bassline over and over on yr. Casio or whatev and hit the "Next Patch" button...)
Make a 4x4 beat then alphcat, it be interesting to see your preset 4x4 beat. Saying a rookie could make this is a big statement to make. yea its simple, but you cant slater it all.

Dont get me wrong, 70% of it does sound the same.

What makes me laugh, is that certain people on here (no names given) go on about how they cant afford all these big synths etc.... but they say they could easily do better than the biggest 4x4/bassline house tunes.
Surely if you could make it easily, you would produce this and make money from it as a means to a end.

Im a big fan of 4x4 bassline, but its beginning to bore me these days. The same old reason sounds and drum kits.

i ask my self, where can it move to next?

Im supporting a movement called hard 4 and niche-step

Its a cross between dubstep/dnb/4x4/grime. This kinda sound has been done before from artists such as bigshot/dj wire/Black ops crew and dj narrows (morph) in 2002. But i think its gonna be the next best thing.

Please check out these myspaces and tell us what you think.

Absolutely. I'm always down to put my money where my mouth is, especially if it means an opportunity to pay for some new gear. And with maybe a very rare exception or two, I don't believe in shitty genres of music, only shitty examples from a genre.

Will check the MySpace links today and get back to you...

CRYPTIC

STR8 UP MAN BIG UP UR CHEST

KLASSICS BEEN PRODUCING FOR YEARS AND IS A TALENTED GUY. HE DEFINITLEY DESERVES A BREAK AND THE HARD4 SOUND IS THE ONE. ITS FRUSTRATING FOR HIM THO COS ALOT OF PEOPLE IN THE GARAGE/DUBSTEP/NICHE SCENES DONT WANT TO SEE HARD4 COME THROUGH FOR WHATEVER REASON. ON THE SUBJECT OF REASON BIG UP KLASSIC ONCE AGAIN COS HE IS ONE OF THE FEW GUYS WHO CAN MAKE REASON BEATS SOUND MUCKY.

ITS GOOD TO SEE THAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THAT JEDI 1 XTRA MIX AND BIG UP CRYPTIC ONCE AGAIN FOR PROMOTING IT. U KNOW THE SOUND IS THE FUTURE MATE. UR TUNES ARE BIG TOO, I'D BE INTERESTED IN HEARING MORE.

WATCH OUT FOR HARD4 CD COMPLIATION COMING SOON FROM JEDI RECORDINGS. VINYL SALES HAVE BEEN SHIT SO I DONT KNOW WHATS GOIN ON WITH A VINYL BUT MOPRH/HERBZ/KLASSIC ALL GOT PLANS.

Nice one drifter, jedi are making big moves!

Well see everyone jump on that bandwagon soon lol Dont worry.

To me in raves, theres a big gap between dubstep and dnb.

I think hard four is gonna fit in there perfectly.

Also watch out for - Rouge State, R8 Records!
