Scallies have tended to go out on nights if u wanna class them - without getting into an argument i go out to listen to music and tend to not let people spoil my evenings but yes in the past it has happened....

Thankfully the past year every Free pArty every DmZ every Bass Camp and anywhere else me bins - i have enjoyed myself...

"Live for Fun on a night out, enjoy it!!!"

Back to sound - its all about the Irration but i tink if u put the local sound systems maybe in there only then maybe can u see what i'm talking about -

Good luck with the essay anyway dude!

I went to the Planet Mu night last friday and to be honest the music was great (well apart from some strange Timbaland loving) but pure disapointment on the sound system, no bass at all and just constant slaps in the face from a tinny snare, we all know the dubstep slogan:

"you cant put mans in a room without subwoofer"

It was a bit quiet to start with but I thought it was ok towards the end it wasn't shaking my chest but it wasn't shredding my ears either - which is a good thing

I dunno, i was really disapointed with it from memory. Upstairs the trojan soundsystem was heavy, i kinda expected downstairs to be better. Would have liked Trojan on before or after the main acts, and to have the bigger system in the main room.

whats this Timaland loving, is this true?

How were Vex'd and Boxcutter's sets? Really wanted to see them both but had to see The Bug and Shackleton in Liverpool. The sound was spot on when Skream and Kode 9 played there a couple of months back, not really into the venue that much though...

This.

Dunno bout you all but I find it's getting annoying to see so many big heads playing Manchester then realise it's going down at paradise factory, where it's pretty hard to feel the bass at all. Magnetic Man was a good set upstairs there, but you could easily have a normal conversation with the person next to you if you weren't right at the front. What's up with that place? All the best nights are on there yet the sound is really poor. I heard there's something up with neighbour complaints meaning it all has too be turned down after midnight or something, is this true?

I'll be checking out the next bass camp though for sure, haven't hit that yet. Most of my mates up in Manchester aren't that on dubstep (I'm from london at uni in manch), but this will have to change sooner rather than later .

I'm in Manchester as well, was born in Sale, now living in Didsbury. Not been going to many nights, being the lazy twat I am (Kode9 at the Warehouse Project was my last dubstep night out), but will be at Platoon & Soundscape (Music Box) on NYE.

Check my mixes out (links in signature) - I'm hoping to arrange a local night in early 2009, so get in touch if you're interested in playing, attending, organizing or promoting!

DUB SPOT getting bigger and bigger every month...

Four successive busy parties so far, a well up for it crowd, a red lazer, our cheeky dub siren, a massive sound system and resident DJs Zed Bias and Chimpo every month.

Big up Ken Evil, Hit&Run, Faktion, Disco3000, and Hoya Hoya everytime!
