rest in peace Arthur C. Clark

Post by upreal » Wed Mar 19, 2008 4:50 pm

it's really sad and extremly emotional. the man who made us all wonder great things now himself has the answer.

I'll remember him for the rest of my life. Big up Arthur C. Clark.

For the sake of this thread including some actual information, I hereby ctrl+v the article from BBC : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/2358011.stm

His old house is in the village I live in - his brother Fred lives there now, he's often about, pruning his garden and picking up rubbish off the road, opening the fetes and all : )

There was an enormous radio-telescope satellite dish (height of a double decker bus) in the drive for ages but he donated it to a local school recently so they could get their science school status. Nice chap.

RIP Arthur.

Having gone away and thought about this deeply...isn't the death of Peter Fucking Cook of more importance. After all , his death was longer ago.
