I bought Spongebob, finally, yesterday.

Post by pete_bubonic » Thu Mar 20, 2008 3:15 pm

I dunno, I wasn't in it when I first heard it. Madness I know. It felt a little too aggressive and tear out for me. And then people started rinsing it. And whereas, usually when people hammer a tune senseless, I get sick of them, fast. but each time I heard Spongebob I like it a little more. And it reached fever pitch yesterday. I couldn't get the tune out of my head, I went beserk to it over the weekend and saw it sitting lonely on the wall of Rooted.

What was I playing at.

yeh its a big tune! The End is very much the one for me though, rhythm is so funky, melody is so deep!

Bought it when it came out, only because it's DMZ really. Decent tune, but it's my least favourite one out of all the DMZs.

I like Spongebob. But The End is the one for me. I like that sci-fi sounding bit that comes in part way through the tune and goes so neatly with the B-line.

i thought spongebob was one of the better tunes on dmz recently, like at least 12.7689 times better than learn, which is ok at best

And The End's so bloody odd as well. I never fail to get a quizzical look from people when I play it. But they usually like it.

Not a massive fan of learn, but dmz could put lean forward on a single sided vinyl please and charged a tenner and I woulda bought it.

As disgraceful as it sounds, I've not actually played The End yet. Will treat myself to a beer and that tune when I finish work.

Yea h I agree, didn't purchase it for a while but eventually decided to, it is a bit aggy but can have its place within a set plus it can be a good laugh to mix.
The couple of times I've had the opportunity to play it out it's gone off which is always an enjoyable reaction.

Dunno if I have the cajones to play it at a dubstep night! Maybe a year or two down the line!
