I reached a certain age and it seems like everyone went ubersexualized - Now it's hard to get a person to just chill for a minute.

I'd rather be celibate and save that other realm.

But then again, I am an only child and may have a bonding issue.

i just find it a bit draining emotionally, to come home with a girl and be that close with them (if you catch my drift) and then probably never see them again is a bit shit for me, its ok sometimes but not something i could do regularly, i prefer something with a bit of longevity and actual connection
but if that aint happenin get ya one night freak on anyway!!!!

god hates masturbaters...

exactly. if i went out on nights with the sole intention of getting sex like so many people do i'm sure i could get plenty, but i want something more.

and until then i'm perfectly happy being single. being in relationships is great, but at the same time it can be incredibly draining and limiting. for now i'd much rather be able to do what i want and not have to deal with all the negatives. i'm loving being able to fuck off to a different city at the drop of a hat and not have to deal with the consequences. this is the happiest i've been in ages (possibly ever)

bit of this going on too

Does nobody go on 'dates' anymore? Do you have to make a decision the instant you meet someone? Cos I wouldn't want to go home with a girl I'd just met. All about meeting up a few times and seeing how it goes for me.

actually yeah, as much as a relationship would be nice right now, i do like the fact that i can just go to the pub/out all night with no prior notice or hassle

i've been on 1 date in my life. and i've never had a one-night stand either

i should probably make more of an effort to meet people but i just go out to have a good time not to pull

and to be honest the way my last 2 serious relationships ended up have done enough to put me off for a while :)

one night stands can be miserable because although fun during (on hopes) once you realize the next day or whenever that it was a one night stand and that you have bared all to someone who could give fuck about you .. and that youre not getting any more out of them lol ... then that can make you feel like maybe you have as much value as this person holds you to.

relationships are heavy. probably one of the most beautiful human experiences, but also one of the most gnarly. if its done right :p . that's all for learning and evolving.

friends with benefits is ..... nothing to complain about, really.

ultimately, single, married, or otherwise its all about your attitude towards yourself and how you choose to interpret and react to things. anything can be made into the most intense amazing touching experience if you choose to make it that, and anything can be terrifying if you choose to make it that.

concept way easier said then lived, though.

I have created a monster. Also, grand, I just felt like doing something depressing what would make you cry. This isn't working is it? :(

start enough ham thread. that usually does the job :)
And now you derail it. :( Also, it's not that my standards are too high, it's that attractive girls' standards aren't low enough.

It's been sort of a by choice thing. The longest I have been single since I was 17 was 3 months...(I'm 31 now) So I was basically always dating, macking or in a relationship (usually unhealthy ones) until the last one just was the last straw because the breakup was so gnarly. I decided to be single for at least a year... So here I am about a year and a half later...still having residual probs from my last relationship...not really trying to get into another one anytime soon. After some time I got pretty used to just not having anyone around that I started to like it and really stopped trying all together.
I get the random one night stand here and there which is cool but the gal pretty much has to jump in my lap for that to happen..

In the last two months or so things have been picking up a bit, though. 8)
