Post by dramageddon » Fri May 26, 2006 3:33 pm

My mate insisted that the film cant be too bad and we should maybe check it out... which we did last night...
FUCK ME! I cant fucking believe it... it was more like a shit comedy!
Not to mention 50's shit cardboard acting and his 1 expression!
Ive never been convinced by his 'G' ways .. Im sure he did sell a bit of sniff and know 'Gangsters' but to be honest tell me how many of you know peeps who sling or know nasty bastards! he just got shot up and by a miricle lived to blag a gangster persona from it!
Cheers mate thanks for destroying hip-hop and making small kids think they are invincible gangstaz!

Rant over.

Oh, and half way thru the flick in the hospital it looks like someones etched his moustache on with a marker.. almost pissed myself!

LOL...

Hip-Hop was destroyed well before 50 Cent. If anything he is the "effect" rather than the "cause"

Rapper bio-pics are getting really old, really fast. It's like everybody wants to have their own "8 Mile".

But when you are a commodity rather than an artist, I guess that it only seems logical.

I've decided to share with you all a review of this movie I wrote and posted on myspace early in the morning on November 19, 2005. I will present it un-edited and un-proofread. I hope you find it as funny to read as I found it when I wrote it, tho, now, I can hardly recall why.

pompende wrote: You know what, i just watched this movie (and dont flip out here that i downloaded the movie), and...amazingly i was emotionally moved.

The guy got SHOTt! NINE thimes! and like in the fucking face and shit. thats fucking ridiculous i mean i bet hed be famous even if not a rapper. (also, love this guy's constant jokes in interviews about how he gave up on rapping so many times coz selling coke is way easier) anyway this guys struggle really moved something in me. also there were a lot of people with african accents, and i dont know that is really moving. and its pretty disheartening to see african natives next to 50 fucking Cent who, i believe, actually fucking insults these africans for washing floors.

other things you might want to know about this movie: yes it is a lot like 8 mile and hustle&flow. it actually stars that same guy from hustle&flow. there is mad nudity but this also includes an amaxingly awkward prison shower fight. most of the songs on the album are not in the movie (def not the mobb deep or mase shit, or young buck or anyone except banks actually). incidentally, there is abs no mention of g-unit in the movie and if his long-time friends tony yayo were inspiration for any of the characters, i couldnt tell) i think almost none of it was true. fittys mama sold coke and was killed by rick james. the movie goes out of its way to point out that the woman 50 impregnates is not his wife. apparently he was addicted to heroin after his shooting bt dude this guy overcame it and fucking sold more records than anyone ever on the entire planet. that shit with the africans is really upestting tho.

anyway i believe more strongly tha never now that i really should get rich or die trying, i mean what more is there to living than being rich? i saw this movie, and i know. nothing. you dont need a mom, you dont need heroin, you might want i mean you could have a non-wife longterm girlfriend and two bastard children but def not a wife and child...but you dont need a crew, you dont need a drivers license or um any need shit you just go out there you kill some people dont talk too much, sell crack, think about rick james a lot ad just try really hard youll be fucking rich and famous or at least have enough money to buy the new g-unit sneakers.

also i was just feeling like maybe weve got like a couple extra letters in the olllll language...i mean...i would much rather have a key for 'the' than have the 'z' key. nah mean? i mean couldnt i just spell zoo with a q or something? oh man, yall just wait till this organic electoilluminesnt keyboard comes out. its gonna be OVER!

I know it turned to shit long before 50, but I spent years clinging on to a genre I grew up with and loved, turning a blind eye to it turning into hip-pop... Oh! has anyone heard the new Mobb record? FUCK SAKE!
