Post your FIRST ever song

Post by cracktactics » Fri Mar 28, 2008 3:43 pm

I'm new to production so i still have my first tunes saved, and if im honest, theyre absolute bullshit!

But I'd be interested to hear other peoples songs from when they first started, I just hope the production technique is as shit as mine and maybe i'll have some encouragement haha.

So yeh if you have it, post your first ever tune up. And i mean the cringeworthy, preset-using, cheesy sample bollocks you came up with when your first got your demo of some useless program. Not your first 'proper' tune. THE WORSE, THE BETTER!

EDIT: Post your first tune, and your last to compare...

FIRST: http://www.zshare.net/audio/968391396abbcc/ (This was back a few months ago when i was producing 3minute long insults to drum n bass)

MOST RECENT: http://www.zshare.net/audio/9385988f003957/

made the beat in fruity, put the acapella over the top in traktor. it goes out of time near the end, what do you expect...it was my first tune.
massey ft. method.mp3 - 5.05MB
edit: it goes out of time much sooner than near the end actually

good idea, i hope some other people post up. this should be funny.

might post a more recent tune soonish

wish I could by my reel to reel is long dead and those tapes are burned forever. I will be honest, my first material was shitty compared to the bullshit I'll pushing nowadays.

Its a higher level of shit really. I went from Mouse turds to Bavarian Royalty Caca.

It is not my first tune but the oldest I have got. Somewhere in 2006 autumn, house, made in fruity loops

The Silent Hill2 soundtrack was what got me into producing, I used to play that game, over and over just because of the music...Then I found out there was a Soundtrack and I still listen to it once a week at least!

Long live geek.

Seriously though, if you've never heard it, get it even if you don't like games its not a 'game' soundtrack, its more of a producer/song writer showing his creativity at its finest. Theres plenty of 'clips:wink:' of it floating about on geeky fan sites.

So my first track was inspired by that, I personally don't think its to bad.

Its 320 if you want it
