http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/

^^^ this site is amazing!
sign up, you are allowed to download 4 err 5 a month I think?
unless you contribute money/post 1,000 times a day or somp-ting like that.

also, there are plenty of good accapella torrents out there.
Just remember there are like 4 different spellings of accapellas for some reason.

pella
a-capella
acapella .. blah blah etc,
happy hunting.

Also, you can get by with some EQ/highpass filter work.
for example my first release "You Say" (AVAILABLE ON BASS TOURIST NOW - shamless) The vocal is actually not a pella.. just taken from an mp3 and then cleaned up a bit.

STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO USE GOOGLE
even though google has the ABILITY to awnswer everything.. dosen't mean that is the be-all-end-all solution for the internet.. I'm so sick of people responding with "USE GOOGLE... DUH!! LOL1111"...

let me remind you that we are on a "FORUM"
do you know what forum means?.. Read carefully

1. the marketplace or public square of an ancient Roman city, the center of judicial and business affairs and a place of assembly for the people.
2. a court or tribunal: the forum of public opinion.
3. an assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest.

I bet some of you didn't know that..
people come HERE (A dubstep production forum) for a reason..
To ask people "in the know" about ..well.. how to produce dubstep.
Granted some of these questions may seem simple to us "vets"...
but "google" has never produced a god damn track.. and google dosen't care if it helps someone... because google isn't a person.

If you can't help the person.. then STFU .. because just posting "use google" makes you a careless asshole. If this sounds like you go to www.dogsonacid.com and click "the grid".

to the newbs : make sure you search for your question before asking!
That's all that needs to be said

cheers

It makes your voice go wub woob wub woob! That's what the missus said, which is concerning in many ways!!!

Even though that is a very cheap microphone

Ah anyone for a mental breakdown?

As for acapellas, there is a little trick you can do. Where you get the track you want the vox off, then find the instrumental version of that track (the hard part).

Then import boths tracks to your sequencer, make sure they are lined up perfect.

Now phase shift the instrumental, and you should just be able to hear the vox on their own.

Note: You get some little artifacts, but a quality linear phase EQ should help you out.
It moves you!

Get a fucking grip. My nan could find acapellas in about 20 seconds without asking stupid questions on a forum.

Do you know what the first site that comes up when I google acapellas

http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/ so he would have saved himself a bit of time and effort if he'd googled it in the first place

a fair comment. and thats exactly what i did up till now. but it seems like since about the start of this year I'm having to ignore 99 percent of topics cos they are ALL stupid questions.

its one thing not knowing about dubstep, but completely another not knowing how to use the fucking internet. or worse still, just being too lazy, as forensix pointed out.

a shame cos i used to find this place helpful/interesting. but i noticed that one or 2 of the more interesting/intelligent posters aint around these days either. maybe time i jumped ship too.

You make a lot of assumptions. For all you know the person did this, saw it was not what he was looking for, and decided, hmm... "I will ask other people who do this type of music if they've already found better resources for acapellas. Perhaps they could point me in a stronger direction"

Then in your genius, point him right back to Google. Stop being a prick.
