Derail much?

I have not read that one btw.

Also, don't buy into any of the shit about Lovecraft being gay, or being connected to Aleister Crowley. Not fucking true.

Nope. Necronicon isn't real, and its "writer" was a pseudonym Lovecraft used when he was a small child interested in 1001 Arabian Nights.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I think I've gotten a bit more subdued as time goes on.But all the small shit that made me more tnuc-ish when I was younger pretty much just rolls off these days.Life is bigger than being a prick all the time.

Not getting totally stoned out my face every 2 hours certainly made me more of a tnuc as well. But I certainly get a lot more done in general.

They grow up so fast.

i've become more aggressive in dealing with the average person. I try to be nice but it always ends up folks getting all bent out of shape due to my nasty sense of humor. More jaded now than ever.

Cynicism's fucking shit to be honest, no finer way to take the joy out of existence - think it's default mode given the lack of a shit most people give about anything, being constantly marketed at and bullshitted by vested interests and seeing mediocrity celebrated in order to sell even more pointlessness to the gullible twats of society.

Nothing more dreary than thinking that the be-all and end-all of civilisation is that knowing winks and no emotional involvement in anything by post-ironic people who don't trust or believe in anything and think they know it all is now seen as the pinnacle of detachment. Shit state of affairs I think.
Hmm....

Yeah, Delendi, that's exactly what I mean. Not saying be some rose-tinted idiot, but personally I fucking hate it when something good comes along and I just pick it apart and ruin it before I take any action, which unfortunately I have far too much of a natural disposition towards.

Also I think a lot of it has to do with all those things that you should feel naturally decent towards being so used by manipulative individuals, marketing scum and the media that that decency just becomes another tool to exploit your better nature, so making one more suspicious the more often it occurs.
Hmm....

I started rereading Lurker At The Threshold this morning, though the title of it always strikes me as a rather esoteric euphemism for needing a shit.

Deleuze quotes Lovecraft in A Thousand Plateaus don'tcha know.

On topic however, I find that I'm less of a shit the older I get.
