Badger, have you tried making a cig holder from paperclips?
no i haven't. but i imagine the ash would fall through the inevitable gaps. not to mention that the plastic coating would melt

hmmm a valid point, this is why I never made it as a paperclip artist

colourful plastic coated ones of course. and if you had an unsheathed metal paperclip then you run the risk of heat conduction burning your hand

Thinking of poll related puns. And marvelling at Badgers paperclip knowledge and thought process.

Not if its only on the filter... which would also solve your ashes problem.

this could be done if you use straightened metal paperclips, wound into a cylindrical tapered shape with a white plastinc coated paperclip at the end.

You bend the paperclip into a shape that pinches, and attatch it to the filter... or bend the 'clip in to a circle shape just tight enought to hold the cig when placed through the circle and with a length coming down to hold onto.

I cant see how you mean actually.

how would that solve the ash problem? and that's far too fiddly... imagine trying to do that with a badly rolled spliff when stoned

I think our confusion may come from the actual usage of said holder... I mean a device to hold the cig while you smoke it... do you mean more of an ashtray?

Im thinking of something along the lines of a roach clip.
