as i have just started its really just gettin confortable with FL, and starting to understand how to build a song, and just general music theory knowledge, i used to play drums and saxaphone so it shouldnt be too hard too get back into musical mode

No, I'm really fighting it. I usually write vocal tunes to strict tune formula. It's difficult for me breaking from that.

I used to do it the other way, but I got into the 'proper' stuff and have a lot of difficulty shaking it.

At the moment I'm concerned with making the drums/bass really rhythmically solid/animated, particularly the drums. Its really hard to make drums that sound really solid and energetic, with swing, but not too loose or weak. Been listening to a lot of house/techno/garage recently and I'm trying to work out how grooves are created within the drum track to add to it.

yeah man thats what ive discovered.. sometimes i cant settle on simple and start trying to fill in the empty spaces with things and i get into a perpetual 16 bar loop

Perfecting song structure is up there too. Creating interest, building and dropping energy.

Next thing I'm working on is creating different sounds that evolve together without noticable transition... using Pulse width modulation is a big help

i dunno if this is a technical term, but groove and sound sculpting - manipulating the dynamics of samples so as to create more cohesive grooves

there are two parts - learning the techniques to have more control over dynamics, and mentally getting my head thinking in a different way about the way elements of a track relate to each other rhythmically, and how they can be used to create different grooves

To be fuckin completely honest.. I haven't the slightest clue what I am doing when it comes to music. I just make stuff and upload it to MySpace.

I think I put alot of stress on myself to make each track a banger, and it has sucked some of the fun out of it.

that thing looks odd... whats the crack? you put it on a bus routing all the tracks you want to bring together in the groove and then process them together? is there something im missing?
