XGN029 - Morphy
A. Morphy - Echo Chamber
B. Morphy - Shuttle
A switch in sounds for Exegene with two dub ridden beauts from Morphy, long time shark lover, dub juice consumer, and resident of Scotland's big LiveVEvil dnb night. His fine tuned style of dubby basslines, addictive hooks and upfront breaks have got him releases on labels such as Direct Recordings and Urban Takeover, and now Exegene.
'Echo Chamber' kicks off the release with tape delayed bleeps and stabs. Crisp breaks build up beneath, whilst echoed vocals drift around before exploding into a dub crazed rolling Amit style groover with the deep subs and tight snares.
The flip, 'Shuttle' maintains the dub influences and incorporates some tight drumwork and amen slices with the delayed plings, beeps and other wonderful effects.
Both tunes guaranteed to get people moving on the dancefloor. Heavy dub pressure!
Head over to www.exegene.com to download. Feedback appreciated; here or the Exegene forum.

Enjoy!
