There's something like 3 guys besides me spinning. No idea about any other producers. No parties but the situation will yet change.

I'm from Northampton, England (bout 80 miles up from London).. and like most other places in the UK, outside of London & Bristol, it dont really have a scene.. It was more dnb led but due to trouble at events thats not really happening like it was, So we are stuck with Funky House... everywhere... great !!! :(

We used to put on events around this area, mainly dnb but incorporated dubstep and breaks and people seemed to be into it.. but its the venue support we are lacking...

I get down to london when i can, to try hit fwd etc, made the first 2 DMZ but was gutted i missed the first Destructive night.. heard it was large... big ups..

Shop wise we have a few, but they mainly stock dnb, house etc... we have Sidewinder in Northampton which stocks the odd bit of grime / dubstep but myself and the people i know round here, who are into the sound, buy records online... the service i get is pretty good, most of the time so i tend not to bother with the shops anymore...

Would love to get another night off the ground but its finding a good venue so until then i'll keep getting down to London when i can...

Girls love dubstep! I've seen some lovely ladiez winding their waists at the Bristol raves. As Renegade Soundwave once said: 'Women respond to bass'.

Here in Berlin its also still a long way to go to get dubstep on the map, but i got most of my friends hooked on the sound.

With Hardwax, there is one recordstore that really cares about stocking up on dubstep and they do a good job, so we can get atleast enough vinyl to play out at some smaller lounges and events.

Next step would be to do a real dubstep dedicated party, hope the people are open enough for it, atleast grime parties run already well.

Glasgow is a bit random dubstep-wise.

One DJ/MC combo tho, who play out from time to time (Nu:Inbred Generation).

Kode9 was up a few weeks ago too, which was heavy! That was pretty much the dubstep event of the year here... or maybe i just need to go to randomer raves, cos more people play this stuff than put it on flyers.

Shops have Hyperdub, but not much else.

SF is loving Dubstep...

Amoeba, Addictech, Dance Records, and Virgin are stocking it.

We got Vex'd + Plasticman in town tomorrow. I'm eager to see the crowd response!

That is nice to see Lexxus.

i was in SF last year about this time and was tryin to find somewhere to listen to this music and there seemed to be nothin. Went into a few stores that sold dance and they were tellin me nothin.

Loved Amoeba tho and found some used vinyl for cheap, some good old 2step etc. Needless to say, spent too much money there and had to ship records back to east coast cause i couldn't fit em in my bag
next up: Nothing in Providence RI - that's for sure ! fukkas !

Well, i'd like to add something to what sumone wrote. I know of two more record stores that sell dubstep - not much but enough to find something special sometimes. And one more that was selling dubstep since 2001 - also here not much - but unfortunetly dind't menage to get more stuff going since the scene enlarged.

Parties are still very rare. So far there haven't been pure dubstep parties. but i know of some people who definetly want to start the scene here.

And DJs, well, i know of like 4 or 5 inculding me.

Producers, i don't know any beside of me.

And the rest of germany i dunno.

Haha, no we've got it pretty good down here in Bristol too. Lots of smaller parties to go to plus one or two bigger ones every once in a while.

As far I know I'm the only one reppin the 'step in Milwaukee WI

Although I hear things about maybe there's a night in the Chi-town

Grime-related maybe ?

Sucks cause this sound would go down big around here.

Milwaukee's got a long history of supporting good dance music,

There's definately a healthy scene growing here in Bristol (respect to ThinKing, Pinch, Blazey & Gutter). Whilst there aren't many nights dedicated to Dubstep (only Subloaded/Context springs to mind) a small selection of nights are starting to programme dubstep & grime into their lineups. I run a Bashment night called Ruffnek Diskotek in Bris and always try and include dubstep and various sublow sounds on my lineups. as far as I'm concerned dubstep & grime IS bashment (riddim based, soundsystem origins blah blah) hence why I promote it. Dribe By, probably the biggest d&b night down here have dubstep & grime every month in their second room. Fair play to 'em for that!

We've got it good down yer moi babbers!

And yeah, girls love it 8)

i`m trying to push dubstep on several platforms. i`ve been spining dubstep tracks for several years now on our regular parties, radio shows and on all venues i got invited. i wrote a detailed article for 2step/dubstep to hungary`s biggest music mag in 2003. as i`m in kinda charge for all breaks`n`beats related reviews (+interviews) at the mag it`s a good chance to give a push again.
because of all incoming positive reactions in april i was able to represent the first dubstep show in hungary (and in the region) with sid and i`m organising the following shows too. i`d like to invite several dudes from europe. i think it`s growing a little bit at last! (i`m pretty sure that hungary will add a few good producers for the community in the future)

well it`s all sounds sweet. the shady side is that i just dont get it how is that we are 3-4 djs in the whole country who buys (and plays!!!) the right sound. dubstep has a small crate in only one shop in hungary. that`s not much and it`s even worse as hungarian djs love to play crappy party booster mass movers. mostly the biggest names without quality control.

but i DO not give up and i will make all efforts to toss dubstep into the limelight!! i`m glad that we have listeners with heart, soul and sense for the right sounds in my city. that helps a LOT!

Here we do a once monthly @club zentraus and at present are planning a bi-monthly at a small underground bar(keep u updated on that one). Operating out the back of the local dnb scene trojan horse style has been v. successful(been doing breakstep pretty much since 2001) reckon this could be a tactic u could use wherever u are. Perhaps u just need to accept that u can't reproduce the London scene - u have to find your own solutions.
Also - lot of support from www.dostreceradio.net that is really getting behind this sound here.
