Any record pretty much can be ordered into hmv. You just have to ask them although no point really as it would take longer than ordering online from juno/bm...
Pre-ordering tho is a good idea if you and a couple of mates all individually pre-order a copy then they will probably buy in a couple of extra copies (if only to your local store)...
I remember a few of us did this before for some mates single way back and they had a whole shelf dedicated to it when it was actually released!....graced the bargain bin for months afterwards tho!!!!

Corpsey next time you pop into WHSmiths buy Computer Music magazine. On the cover DVD is their everexpanding free virtual studio. A good starting point whilst you save up!!
Alternatively download the basic version of making waves from
http://www.makingwavessoftware.com and when it starts to piss you off that you can't save register it for £30....Happy producing!
