FWD this Friday
This does not please me.
I always feel a wreck on Mondays if I've been out late on a saturday, so sundays are a definite no, unless I've got the Monday off.
Providing I'm in the country on a friday, chances are I'll be in FWD>> Just think it means I'm gonna be seeing a lot less dubstep. I'm interested to see what might come out as a friday night 'replacement', but obviously nothing is gonna compare with FWD>> at pppl. FWD at the end/ministry/fabric does not appeal to me.

gutted about this news. ok so there av been valid points raised abt improving the quality/vibe of the night which may or may not b true but surely its also gona become a night primarily for the locals. i live in norwich, a 2hr train ride from london and work mon-fri which must b a similar case for a fair few of the dubstep heads that attend fwd. this basicly rules out attendin fwd in the future cos theres no way of gettin bak in time for work on the monday. not a case of bein dedicated or gettin enuf beauty sleep, it just aint possible.

On a level though..
Slightly pissed.
Been going to FWD for a long time and enjoyed making trips down from the midlands with the goons, knowing that we could drive back the next day and sleep. This wont be a possibility anymore if its moved to Sundays.
I don't care who's in the rave. I'm not there to watch anyone [d double]don't watch me rudeboy watch porn[d double]. As long as they don't step on my shoes, pour drinks on me or try and take their shirt off and dance near me its normal. I kind of enjoyed the fact that there were a couple gash in FWD's recently. It adds to the excitement of the night and makes standing in a pitchblack room a bit more worthwhile.
I will definitley miss the Friday night ones but I can understand that life is about progression and if a change of venue is needed then thats whats got to happen. I ain't really gonna let this get to me and you'll still catch me in FWD when I'm in the bits.

Its all about Sunday night raving!
Anyone who ever raved at Co-Op at PP on a Sunday knows that night was off the hook. Think this is going to be a good move, lets be honest, there are loads of one-off Friday night events for dubstep now (last week at the Ministry for example) that this probably makes sense.

lol @ attract a more dedicated crowd
i have to say for a genre which prides itself on its friendly nature some of the snobbery in here is a bit dissapointin...
lets filter out shoreditch and the workers
great ethos
why not start segregatin the crowd too... hitler wud b proud
SO THEREZ A VALID POINT movin it to sun if it means more ppl can be booked etc.. shame that some people here need to feel that they are STANDIN IN A ROOM OF HEADZZ and can therfore VALIDATE THEIR OWN EXISTANCE and use it as a psychological experiment to FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES

thats a bit strong mate lol. it doesnt 'filter out the workers' it could attract a more dedicated crowd by making it so you have to really want to come to face work the day afterwards.FlashHarry wrote:lol @ attract a more dedicated crowd

i need to get up at 7 and ill be there.
there will be less people snorting coke in the toilets
there will be less idiots out on the lash who don't care about the music
this in turn will attract people back to the club who have not been going so much anymore due to the above factors. more of a headz crowd leads to more adventurous bookings and deeper tunes.
can't stress enough how good a move this is tbh.
