What equip do I need to go with a single STANTON C324?

Post by tangerine dream » Thu Apr 17, 2008 2:54 pm

I have some spare money and really like the look of the STANTON C 324. I'm a newb and have never mixed before (well, tried a bit in ableton, so I know the idea behind it)

I figure if i buy one single one now, i can get another later, and it will motivate me to do so, to complete the set. I can't afford two of these right now :(

I guess a lot of people will think I should start of with vinyl, or I should start off with cheaper cdjs, so i can afford 2 and a mixer etc... Meh, I like the look of the STANTON C 324...

I was thinking of setting it up with ableton, or with some other software on my laptop? I saw someone doing this with one deck and a laptop, but it wasnt ableton he was using.

What else would i need to but to make the STANTON C 324 work? Would it connect to my laptop right away (i'm guessing not) and how about my sound system? Its just PC speakers and sub, but pretty good ones. I'll get better equipment later... I just want to know that if i got a single STANTON C 324 I could mess around and mix with it, and hear it out the speakers I currently have.

I figure I'll need headphones and maybe a mixer as well? Hmmm

Help a newb out, lol! Thanks for any help :)
