ok so it's not drop dead gorgeous but it's nott butt ugly either . I'd say it has a certain rugged charm, like if it were an actor it wouldn't be brad pitt, it'd more like benecio del toro.

you can't "qualify" who can reply and who can't. that's unacceptable; not to mention it's simply rude.
this is a public forum, anybody can comment.
epithet wrote:This is a discussion board. Whats the problem ?
the problem is, you encourage confrontation with most of the things you tend to discuss (i'm not even talking about just this thread). good debate is one thing, asking controversial questions is one thing...both of which are fine. but loaded debate with loaded questions and aggressive responses meant to draw people into conflict, or questions that you know will kick off a confrontation is not really the one. it just doesn't work on the internet. it might in a pub situation or in person, but not on a message board.

you can't use your writing "style" as an excuse for being consistantly rude to people. rudeness on the internet is just that,....its just simply being rude. it's not a style of writing.

you're trying to encourage debates, so how about encouraging them instead of polarizing them?
epithet wrote:For fucks sake, I can be a rude tnuc, so what ? I'm trying not to be :D
that's not really a "qualified" opinion. fix up.

its all relative to how many potentiol ppl the dj can pull into the club. Thats why ppl who will play for free, are not big enough to get paid, and ppl who are getting paid have put the graft in to position themselves so that they are pulling crowds and thus deserve to get paid..

this thread is in bad tatse... cringe at my man starting it. Get with the programme mate

here's a figure for you.

i DJ for my crust, not as a dubstep DJ but in a scene that's probably about the same size.

my current asking price works out at £9.61 for every track i've released.

it's a fucking graft!

nb. apart from that, provost and martyn speak much sense.

although this thread has proven to be quite divisive, it's also been thoroughly entertaining.

I was just going to say that... til I realized that I AM!

Anyways, all I can say is. DON'T ASK DON'T TELL. I asked TWICE my whole life out of curiosity, and was met with great concern. I was told how much those people were paid, but never will I ask.

I recommend you sit back, smoke a bowl, and watch tis

i think the subtext to this thread, that might have been getting lost in worldwide cultural translation, is that it's rude in the UK to ask someone how much they earn.

I think that's only the middle classes to be honest, and they always want to know the exact figure someone on benefits gets. Most builders I know are more than happy to say how much they get, whether you ask them or not (as long as you're not a taxman)

whatever you say, I've met people who obviously were banking but never discussed it. I feel like talking about how much money you make is tacky, and asking, even if out of pure curiosity, is rude. End of the story. Questions like that area always bound to fluff some feathers.
