don't know if this helps, but i use ClamXav. I use it for my mac but i hear it is also run on mixed platform networks...

check this site maybe for PCs http://www.efextra.com/clamx.htm (i think that ClamX is an offshoot of ClamAv, or something... sorry if this is not too specific)

yeah i was surprised by how easy the transition was from xp to linux (although i'm on ubuntu, which is linux for pussies), after getting stuck into red hat at work i thought it was going to be a fucking nightmare

most of the things i want to use work fine through wine and the whole experience is easily 50% faster than xp was. the amount of free alternatives to literally every program ever written is fucking brilliant too

and there's like 4 viruses written for linux in the history of mankind

haha - my speciality used to be crashing red hat with wine - i can break anything

mind you that was about 7 yrs ago and i was trying to get it to do some nasty things on dual boots.... never got a virus tho!

There are loads of viruses for Linux and Unix. Windows is just a glorified version of these 2.
