big up the broke poeple with expensive hobbies!

Just moved into a new pad with another like-minded bass fondling producer. Will up pics of the studiodiodio soon.

Very worried at the amount of key-tar going down in this thread

Updated shots with a better camera and new room layout.
Just waiting for my 5.1 system for the tv... should be in the mail today. And missing from the panorama shot is my KRK RP10 sub, it died on me :( Hopefully warranty will cover it.

Bowzer, that's a sweet setup you got there. Looks loads better since you switched it round too.

The first RP10 i got (which was B-stock, but still) was already bust when it got to me! Proper nasty farting sound. Not a good look. Thought i'd killed the second one after only a week too, but just blew the fuse. Didn't realise there's on on the unit as well as the plug. Good job, otherwise i'd be screwing that another had broke! Touch that they put a replacement fuse in there too, although i'll need to be picking some more up no doubt.

I've just taken over the front room of my mum's holiday home for the summer. All her furniture got moved as much as i could! The dining table got deconstructed straight away, you can see it propped up against the wall! Was taking up too much room! Personally, i think the desk i replaced with look s better anyway! Only thing is, I've got those blue chairs scattered round the house now! Nice to have a view of green fields too look at while i'm plugging away though.

Oh shit, maybe I just blew the fuse! I was looking for it but didn't see it... I coulda sworn I saw it a one point too. Forgot it was under the plug. I'll have a look when I get home.

The farting sound happened to me too, i took off the front grill and had a look. The speakers rubber came unglued from the base and air was escaping, so I got some speaker glue and fixed it.

Yeah man, check that, because i phoned the shop up all ready to let loose that another one had bust, but he just said check the fuse. I thought it was wierd as i'd checked it with a plug from my RP8 and still no power in the unit, just deadness. Then he explained there was another one one the unit under the plug, changed that and the problem was solved....hope it's the same for you.

Well my problem is I was playin for awhile at fairly loud levels, nothing over the top though, and then the subs sound turned off. The power light was red, and it was hot on the back so I figured it had overheated. It had done that to me before once so I figured it was nothing.

I left it overnight and tried it in the morning... super low volume and very distrorted, I turned it up abit and then the sound cut off and had a red light again. So, I dunno if that's a fuse problem :S

ohhhhh. im sorry to hear that man. distorted sound means you most likely melted the cone. did you smell something weird and chemical coming out of the sub the day it happened? Another thing you can try is pushing the cone (if you can access it on the sub) in very slowly. is there any rubbing? if there is than most likely the cone is melted. The solder melts from the heat and fucks up the cone.

hope this isnt your problem, but when this happens you need a new cone.

Claw, your photos just made me realize that if there is no space between the machines, there is no space either for all the mess that usually comes around.
I've to do sthg about it :D
