I liked the two "Grime" CDs, but i thought they were exactly that, grime instrumentals.

Midnight Request Line definitely perked my ears to the new movement. :!:

Zed Bias w/ Juiceman and Simba - Jigga Up (Ring The Alarm) and
Baby Cham- Man & Man (El-B Remix)

if they count.

and then the two Horsepower albums, and then Midnight Request Line, of course.

didn't really know anyone else into it until Request Line though!

I was feeling the sound before hand, but Highland Spring sealed the deal for me.

without realizing it, i heard vex'd "pop pop" on a mix by dj surgeon, mashed in with some serious techno. then some folks on blackoutaudio.co.uk were talking about grime and dubstep and recommended a few artists. so i went to bleep.com and found the whole road catalogue and then this forum as well.

i would have to say honour kill was a biggun for me tho. wow!

originally: horsepower - the swindle

then rediscovered it last year due to ufo's ravings on subvertcentral (big) and checking skream's august mix and dubstep allstars 2. i wont forget the strange and exciting feeling of finishing off my thesis while having 28g on heavy rotation :)
