Now that DMZ is over...

Post by relaks » Sun May 04, 2008 7:48 am

1: Was DMZ014 announced?

2: Was Kromestar's set as ill as I imagined?

3: Did Clouds and Tes get up in full-on 1970's pinstripe suits and dance around while spinning records?

4: Did Loefah play new materialz?

5: WAS DUBLUKE VERY BARE HYPED?

not long home from DMZ

was a good one, I think!

Really enjoyed Tes La Rock and Cloud's set

DMZ smashed it too. Loefah was droppin' some heavy bombs

Not sure whether it was his own material though

but certainly weighty enough

Interesting to survey the crowd, was some in there who looked like they were auditioning for the Kids from Fame. Quite a few pilled out of their face but that's no drama with me. Good vibes all around still

Good to see that each time I reach DMZ the size of the female contingent increases. Have noted that the women tend to step harder than the men also.

Lost count of how many cans of Stella I sank, reluctantly!

We should launch a petition to get some sort of stout back behind the bar

The Guinness Foreign was all good and the Dragon Stout even better

failing that, get some Red Stripe Lager in

Chef seemed to take the place of Peverelist's spot

but was dope

Geoim was different styles. Brought on a live female vocalist who sang a few numbers. Like his production

Props goes out to the old boy who turned up at DMZ around 4am

First of all I thought it was Kid Cazual but on closer inspection it was some dude who must have been in his mid sixties

Think he stayed droppin' the twist to Dubstep until the lights went on

Yeah, all in all it was a good night

Again Goth Trad was fire

and enjoyed what I heard of Kromestar's set when I first arrived

Ha, saw Dubluke in there but refrained from haranguing him

don't know about bare hyped. Look a bit more subdued than I expected but was representing in fullest to the end

Saw a very tired looking Boomnoise trudging towards the station also

DMZ was a bit of a random one for me this time, had a good laff and all just felt weird seeing it not full to the brim like the birthday, all sets i heard were large, geoim played a beautiful set, vibes!

Had a good time, but it sucked having to leave half way through chef's set.

Also, half way through the tes/clouds set (which had a great mix of stuff) the guy in front of me knocked my bottle into my teeth by accident and chipped a tooth :( :( :(. Not in a big way, but a major pain in the ass for sure.

Was good to meet you briefly luke, i think i saw Del about too, but only realised who it was after passing.

Screwing I missed Peveralist - caught the last 10 mins of his set!

Nah, wasn't actually very painful at all, but its fucking annoying. Can constantly feel it on my tongue. Hoping it can be filled in or something, but its on the pointy bit of a front tooth, so i'm not hopeful :(.

I was a little cranky myself, especially after the tooth incident. Looking forward to making it to more of the summer dances after i move down in may, and meeting more of the forum heads.
