Yeah, definitely going for cans only in the future. I get sick of wife beater pretty fast though, so here is hoping they bring back some decent beer to dmz!evoh_1 wrote:that is shit mate bottles are a danger in many ways. at least you didn't go nuts i would have gone completely spare if my tooth had been chippedsimian wrote:Had a good time, but it sucked having to leave half way through chef's set.
Also, half way through the tes/clouds set (which had a great mix of stuff) the guy in front of me knocked my bottle into my teeth by accident and chipped a tooth![]()

. Not in a big way, but a major pain in the ass for sure.
Was good to meet you briefly luke, i think i saw Del about too, but only realised who it was after passing.
Now that DMZ is over...

i think that can be repaired, fingers crossedsimian wrote:Nah, wasn't actually very painful at all, but its fucking annoying. Can constantly feel it on my tongue. likewise was great to meet you, sorry if i was a little quiet, was in a bit of a random mood.
I was a little cranky myself, especially after the tooth incident. Looking forward to making it to more of the summer dances after i move down in may, and meeting more of the forum heads.
was a bit of an up and down night for me, jokes on the whole, geiom still made the whole thing for me *fanboy fanboy fanboy*

Yeah, pissed I missed that! I had a great time, apart from the tooth incident, but I wasn't feeling some of the crowd at the front of the venue. Too many people in wifebeaters / shirts off, reminded me of dnb raves.dubluke wrote: was a bit of an up and down night for me, jokes on the whole, geiom still made the whole thing for me *fanboy fanboy fanboy*
Anyone else notice this, or was i just being a grumpy fuck?

Yeah, way too much hi-end for my liking. I quite like the stairs/platform at the back. The sound there is still pretty good without killing you upside your ears, you get a good view over the crowd, loads of space to skank, and the floor vibratesdubluke wrote:it was there, i enjoyed it, but even with my plugs i thought was pushing it a bitThe Wiggle Baron wrote:I think the forum needs to claim the new speaker stack in the corner. I LITERALLY cant recommend them enough. Aside from the health side of things (which is a pretty big point to gloss over
And @ £10 bag, I dont think dmz will EVER be at a point where it could disappoint anyone!!

elacin ER-20's, really really really good, make the music sound a lot better as they cut out that sort of "ALL I CAN HEAR IS THE MASSIVE BASS" thing, only a tenner or so and well worth itsimian wrote:hehe. Yeah thats another point. Again going back to 3rd bday, there were loads of (this is just an example) coki mental tracks with obscene noises/basslines going all over the place. I was more then used to them just blending into one big chesty mess, but with earplugs I can actually be like "ooh, goblin!" or whatever.dubluke wrote:elacin ER-20's, really really really good, make the music sound a lot better as they cut out that sort of "ALL I CAN HEAR IS THE MASSIVE BASS" thing, only a tenner or so and well worth itsimian wrote:hehe. It definitely changed..bigger less intimate venue, significantly larger and more mixed crowd..less of a 'wtf is this tune' factor as there is such a saturation of new dubs on the radio..that's not to say it is better or worse..£10 Bag wrote:i want to reach dmz one day, but hope it won't be like a dnb night.
is it still unique and epic in the way that everybody talks of, or has it fallen off? still worth a fuck-off big trip from cornwall and lots of money, or do you think i would be disappointed?
I'd probably rock up to the next birthday one as that has the option of 3rd base normally as well for a different vibe and music than the main room.

sounds like its still a giggle, will reach one day!
what is the ''have you got a rizla?'' factor like at dmz?
i've stopped clubbing really cos i'm fed up of using a whole pack of rizlas in a night, and people trying to sell me pills.
the youtube vids of loefah, mala, coki etc jumping up and down at 280bpm to a silly bassline kind of made me feel like i'm missing out on something

New a a couple of tunes ID'd.
That vocal tune I've heard millions of times that Clouds and Tes played, got the first rewind of their set.
Also the ridiculously wobbly tune they played too, got three rewinds at least.
Good times anyways.
