Weird, I thought that this espresso strength was a general misconception. I got the exact opposite, actually: I get all fucked up if I drink normal/french/american/whatever coffee. Don't get me started on the coffee at work, that's a category of its own.Slothrop wrote:Yeah, when I was an undergrad I used to have a teacupful of the output of one of those every morning. I didn't realize at the time that it was actually esspresso strength which probably explains why I normally got nauseous about half way to lectures.

espresso per serving (which they're pretty strict about) has half the caffeine of drip coffee. so unless you're drinking a whole cup of espresso, then you're not getting more caffeine. i think espresso tastes like bitter shit tbh. way too much acid in it for my liking.m9918868 wrote:Weird, I thought that this espresso strength was a general misconception. also, darker roasts contain less caffeine as well since a lot of chemicals are roasted out of the bean, so unless you're drinking it solely for taste go for a light breakfast roast or a blend for more caffeine.
