Does anybody use beat-slicer and what kind of? I'm looking for something similar like in FL. Searched for free beat-slicer using google but no success.

What is that sampler that just became free-ware recently??? Shit I can't remember the name... I'll have a scope around some boards for ya

Might be something useful there. I have used to Highlife in the far distant past but due to OS X it has become even more distant.

Short Circuit is pretty good!

The only bad thing I have about it is that you have to add all your shit to the sample folder in the install path (correct me if I am wrong)

so basically I have using double space for one sampler!




Never heard of Highlife, will probably check it out cause I have a bit of OCD when it comes to software :oops:

I've wanted to check it out because I love the interface. Plain, vanilla and simple. It doesn't try to look like hardware on a screen. :D

Highlife is a lot of fun. It allows you to load VSTIs into it and then multi-sample them out. You can basically freeze patches from other synths. My minimal ways and laziness prevent me from setting up a PC to run it.

Manual slicing. You click the sample editor tab, you select the kick, cut & paste, then repeat for all instruments. Takes about 1 mn to slice a drum loop.
