i have done, that's what i mean. the departed confused me because they ruined and/or left out most of the best things from infernal affairs

That is the correct translation, but they altered the name for western release to save confusion with the Richard Gere/Andy Garcia film of the same name.

I watched "Hostage" when it was on Ch4 the other night and came away with a soft equivalent of PTSD.

Some terrible acting on Brucey baby's wife's account. But the psycho in it was trés scary.

Onmyoji - This almost reads like a television show, but it has all the really good esoteric; ascetic monk elements - done well I might add - sometimes they are overdone and goofy..but not in this one..

Image

Human Traffic - was cute, some real funny moments in that..

Inland Empire - started out good, but lost me somewhere, I just couldn't follow it.

Maria Full of Grace/Favela Rising - Both very insightful/beautiful cultures shining through those difficult tales..

Sketches of Frank Gehry - Very interesting if you like art/architecture..

Love is the Devil - Big disappointment for me, I love dramatizations about artists lives..this was about Francis Bacon - too disturbing and violent; it was overly freaky- a real turn off. Full of cunty characters..Champions the side of gays that the general public hates, and for good reason. I may have to watch a PBS joint on the man to get past the posturing in that film.

Surviving Picasso beats that up - as does the one about Basquiat..

Watch An American Crime the other night.

Film was killer man, left me a bit speechless, really good twist from the start to keep you into the film.

Can't believe it was a true story, that pure soul :(

Watch it if you like those films what leave you with that feeling in your pit of your stomach..

Tommy O'Haver

severance and V for Vendetta.

Severance is good for laffs.

Actually liked v4v, was very prepared not to. Think I like Alan Moore's vision better still.

Just watched Hard Candy.

Tell you what..

Ellen Page is a fucking amazing actress.

Shes even got a little charm about her, shes not ugly, shes not hot.. Its weird :o (I know i'll get slated for this but still each man to their own)

Ain't seen Juno, seems a bit, easy going.

I like those films what really hit you, you know?

Is it worth the watch?

Prob not..it's a smart comedy, seems to draw mixed reactions though.
