Extratone

Post by d_three » Sat May 10, 2008 6:01 pm

fuck dubstep, extratone is where it's at

1000 BPM or STFU
Whereas most Speedcore tracks commonly reach speeds ranging from the high hundreds to a 1000 BPM, Extratone takes it one step further - all tracks are beating at a bare minimum of 1000 BPM.

Listening to Extratone, one can easily discern the extreme harsh sounds - screams, total static noise and layer-upon-layer of beats.

An excellent example of an Extratone track is -

Mister Joker & Dooky - Those White Rappers (Destroy Them)

Lol, is that really 1000 bpm?

I think some 'cake' would sort this musical travesty out.

Am I the only one who just sees that whole scene turning into a dick sizing competition?

Pointless music.

at that speed things turn into noise.

and I like "noise" (Merzbow, Government Alpha, Prurient etc.)

but the sound of 1000bpm gabba kicks becoming noise is just fucking boring.

No one should ever say a bad word about Gabber until they have heard this.

No-one should say a bad word about gabber (well, ok I won't go that far). But there's plenty of decent gabber tracks. There's a monumental amount of crap gabber but really people act as if it's the worst music ever when it's far from being so. I still buy gabber records from time to time. Prefer it to fucking trance or happy hardcore.
