1. There's a difference between truly lighthearted, naïve music and the obnoxiousness Caspa & Rusko pump out. Stuff like "The Moaners" is just musical trolling.

2. If I wanted comedy I'd listen to Bill Hicks.
different strokes for different folks i guess.

They hate it because they think it's shit, and rightly so for a lot of it, bit of stupid question.. asking why people hate a certain type of music.

yeah I could care less if people hate it, but I've had a lot of jungle forum people hate on me cause they don't like dubstep...it was retarded. I don't want everyone to like it.

I know plenty of peeps who arent into dubstep and in the grand scheme of things it means fuck all.

As for people within the 'scene' being haters. Well again, thats a given, unless you expect everyone who's into sub bass to blindly like every track presented to them.

well there's a difference between something simply not being in your taste, and hating on something. one is preference and one is a very strong counter reaction. aggressive, even. but every genre of every type of art has people with opinions on either end of the spectrum, some people are into it and some people aren't. but when someone slams you with their negative attitude towards something you love, it can be rather unpleasant.

Some peeps think that dubstep has been hyped - it's just a fashion with a lot of bandwagon jumpers. In alot of Spanish foros there is a simmering hostility towards it. Maybe cos if you are into something else and you see yourself as cool you resent another new thing coming along stealing your thunder. Wouldn't worry about it though - horses for courses and that

i suppose a lot of people find it really dull, which is fair enough cuz if you hear it on anything but a heavy bass rig it can be, and because in reality a lot of the tracks coming out are a bit going that way..

then a lot of people don't like it cuz a lot of the tracks sound the same, which is also fair enough because a lot of it does

then a lot of people don't like it because when they do hear it on a heavy rig it is uncomfortably loud, which is also fair enough because most of the heads into it are well used to that weight or have ear plugs and its a bit much for people who arent

then is suppose there is the natural kick back against something new, that might threaten say an electro fan for example, who up to a while ago new everything there was to know about electro and now is a bit left behind in because everybody is writing about dubstep now not his music and he dun know nothing about that so he just try mash it down

(yeah just read numaestro post and more same as what last paragraph is there, prob main reason )

If this thread is a "stupid" question, I'm sure getting a lot of responses, so it can't be that stupid if everyone wants to chime in....

It like you have a shirt you love, and someone comes along and disses it, saying that's the uglyest thing they have ever seen, but you love it. That can really piss you off, almost take offense to it. That is where I'm coming from, these haters. Not that I got super pissed, more annoyed really, but still there is that lingering thought that you want to defend the things you love, as most people will do...

Some people just feel the need to puff themselves up by constantly bashing anything they don't like. They can't just accept that some people have different tastes from themselves or even that maybe they aren't 'getting it', they have to come in every time with a 'funny' putdown or a sarky remark. They probably have very small willies, ignore them.

i find these kind of threads a bit embarrassing tbh

kinda like the dubstep equivalent of emos talking about how people always pick on them..

I don't think it's as black & white as people hating it & loving it

i hope most people like some of it rather than all or none!

given that shackleton sounds nothing like rusko that would make sense!
