Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I can't say I'd want that to happen, but I'd certainly not give a fuck if it did happen.

I knew three people who've been killed by bouncers, and every time the stnuc have gotten away with manslaughter, even though violence in the situation wasn't warranted. Big up Winston at PP, proper gent of a doorman.

Yeah man, always polite.

Since working in bars I've got to know a few doormen, they're not all bad. But at the same time, some of them (even ones I worked with) liked to provoke trouble and got off on it.

Nah not all of em are, but on the whole they seem to be more up for a fight than your usual bloke in the place. They'll usually leave the agro to blokes who look like they're up for a big of pagga though. I'm really talking about central london though, everyone is up for a fight in Grimsby.

My tutor at uni studied bouncers as part of a discourse analysis of how people talk about violence. He got to know some bouncers and apparently when they had kicked the crap out of someone, they got the cctv tape and watched it after the end of the night with bouncers from other nearby clubs with a few beers..

Its quite sad tho when you see blokes who are trained at fighting (mixed fighting skills used by these guys btw) hitting people who are not looking or are drunk.

This kind of sickening, senseless violence makes me makes me wonder at the state of humanity. Can you really treat another human being like that and feel fine? It's anti-human...

Unfortunately its the nature of the job. If your employing someone who has to be prepared to get involved in violent confrontation then it going to attact a certain type of person. In my experience doormen are there to intimidate. They want people to know what their status is. Their main concern is their own and the club owners interests over the interests of the people in the club.

Its almost like a game. If you manage to leave the club in one piece then you've won.

Whenever you need them though, they are never around.

My sentiments exactly. I've never met an overly aggressive one, but I don't think it takes much for them to get violent. Sadly, that's the nature of the work.

This shit is sickening. Wish I hadn't watched it now. Obviously people are gonna say well their just doing their job but bouncers should use violence as the very last resort. These thugs will get their cumupance at some point hopefully. In the words of the great cypress hill, what go around, come around kid!.

That fucker in the blue jacket - god, classic case of small-man syndrome. Karma will settle these cocksuckers' accounts though... it always does.

I was a doorman at an 18 and over place here in California and when I started the job as a 19 year old dumbass I thought I liked to fight, but that stupidity was quickly dispelled when I met people who actually enjoyed hurting people - true sadists. They often come from fucked up domestic backgrounds, but everyone has a choice in how to comport themselves. That job taught me a lot about diplomacy and violence - diplomacy is always preferable, and be careful about who you pick fights with - the one you least expect will come back with a knife, gun, or worse and check your shit fast.

there's plenty of sound bouncers about but they seem to be outweighed by the lary stnuc of the trade. i got the shit kicked out of me after the doormen at Ikon in Newcastle threw my mate (who was on crutches) down the stairs and i politely protested

incidentally this is the most horrible sucker punch i've ever seen - needs sound (or doesn't, depending on your disposition)[/url]

Infact this has got Stalinism written all over it. Blatantly a fucking group of communist skin heads who need to understand that these sort of actions are not accepted in todays day and age.
