i do it by hand in adobe audition, not sure why as it takes me fucking ages. just got used to it i spose.

I've used a free one called H4xxor but can't remember who made it. But i wouldn't say it's that great for drums cos it doesn't allow for multiple outputs, more assigning parts of a sample to the keyboard.

Really good for taking a melodic sample and "playing" it by rearranging the notes.

Yep, I've been meaning to get the FL8 update. The new slicer looks far more advanced than previous.

Recycle and Zero X beatslicer are pretty phat too.

drop your loop into an audio channel

select the tool that looks like a scissors (shortcut 3 (I think)) manually slice the hits yourself

Doesn't Cubase have some kind of Hitpoints function?

I'm a Logic head myself so can't go into more detail but check:

I think once you've set the hitpoints there is a way to rearrange the slices...

That should sort ya out I reckon :)
