i'm not saying people can't talk about gaming at all. talk about whatever you want, that's the purpose of this forum

Gaming threads don't really bother me, even though i am so boring the only game i play is pro evo 5 on the old xbox...

What does bother me is all the cringeworthy eflirting and general post-feminism "look how sexual liberated I am" threads, or the desperate attention seeking that relentlessly splooges itself around here. This place has gone down hill, long gone are the days of banter, intelligent discussions, MS paint illustrations or forum jacking... Just moronic innuendos and the occasional humourless lolcat.

Yeah I kind of feel like he was so obviously argumentative there was no real harm done - he did actually foster some good debate.

I think he may have rubbed the odd mod or two up the wrong way though... not naming names of course.

yup seen it happen a few times sadly. been a few bannings of people who don't seem to have done that much wrong other than disagree and be a bit of a twat about it, which is hardly anything new. but as for what goes behind the scenes on PMs etc i obviously have no idea so perhaps it was justifiable

Again, (and this is in no way directed at you or anyone in particular) this is a community. If you dont like it, change it. Start some threads about something interesting, draw some MS paint pics or help me plan some more forum jacks (incognito of course

).

Im quite sick of a lot of some of the people posting in here too, some of it is quite rediculous. But, it is a forum that anyone can join and as with any forum, you have to take the good with the bad.

Hell, its still not as bad as DOA or DJforums, for example.

i think it's more that with the much higher numbers of people on here, theres a lot more chaff to sort through to get to the wheat... it's there - it just takes a bit of searching or initiative.

this is true, but i think the fact that a lot of people browse at work makes that a bit more difficult. most of us are not supposed to go on the internet at work so to spend 10 mins browsing instead of only a couple like it used to be without all these chaff threads means that internet usage gets noticed more. i know i've stopped looking for threads like i used to as i've started getting comments

Anyway, true story, my Dad told me back in the day (he's an anthropologist/archaeologist)... I don't remember the details, but there was an anthropologist living with the innuit a hundred odd years ago, adopted their life styles and customs etc. Igloo, full nine yards...

Why did epithet get banned? I am find I am agreeing less and less with the decisions made here, like that loefah thread a while back.

And I agree with everything you say Vista...the more interesting and homorous posters are in here less and less..

Maybe I'll actually start doing some work and binning this place off.
