there are a lot of really awesome polynesian dancers out there. and there are starting to be a few more polynesian tribal fusion blends. its a very dynamic time for dance, one in which we are greatly enriched by learning from the wealth of each others cultures.

dubstep just adds a lovely new dynamic to the thing. big ups all you bass heads, producers, and djs for making my life a lot easier and a helluva lot more fun!

Yeah i'm one of em. Well not in the performance art type steez but jeez you should see me on the dancefloor. Just a fascinating blur of innate rhythm and poetic grace. :o

nice one belly really good moves. far more interesting than the usual dance for people that can't dance that you usually see to dubstep

which is why I need to get my bellysteppin' ass to a city that has shows so regularly that I'll never run out of places to dance. :D

Aiwa kidda ya habibti! Ya Eshta, ya Sucka! I used to live in downtown Cairo round the corner from all the bellydance clubs, but you put them to shame. The tune you need though is Shackleton's Hamas Rule, its like a remix of the live music drenched in reverb you hear in the streets at night during religious festivals when the sufis get their stomp on.
