I over analyse everything too much when I'm stoned and cant tell if the mix is in or not. Its a major problem because if I could get stoned and mix I think I'd be the happiest person alive.
I just recorded a proper bassy mix, I'll post it up if you want?

one thing, am i the only feckin person that doesn't have kalawanji on vinyl?!?! baaaaaaaaaaaaastards!
as for dubstep and weed - standard. to me dubstep is just an evolution of dub. its still dub at heart, and dub has always gone with ganja like homophobe. go with happy hardcore.
ye like bread n butter mateMumble wrote:budstep ?bEErz wrote:ive always just assumed that it was 1 of those underlying things that no1 reli has to say because dubstep n bud just go hand in hand and every1 just knows.
one of my favourite things to do stoned...listen/rave to dubstep. as long as i aint monged out my nut i can skank nice n feel the music reallly nicely.
being high on a deep thinking vibe + deep dubstep = mild euphoria.

I don't smoke anymore, but I remember how easy it was to get lost in a mix for about 2 hours when I was high.

edit: and when I mix when I'm high, I just lose all sense of timing and beat matching, also I get stage fright even if I'm at a friends house so alcohol gives me some dutch courage
edit2: also dont watch the first two mixes, I was up at 6am revising for a business studies exam, so I needed a couple of mixes to get into the flow

Beer, never bud.
I usually get bored of dubstep when I am out of it...I need something to keep my brain more active.
I prefer when I have had a few beers and can just skank out, I get to shy when I am buzzing even if I am on my own

lol I dont know what advice they would give "basically, just dont do it"Tomity wrote:Ha! the worst is when the two are mixed so you have the inability to beat match and the drunken effects like scratching the needle all the way across a record, not a good look

Just 'not doing it' is all good in practice but I usually fail. I'll get home, do some work, mix for about an hour and its all good. I'll then have a spliff and REALLY want to mix but then the problems start.Dubloke wrote:lol I dont know what advice they would give "basically, just dont do it"Tomity wrote:Ha! Sometimes its fine though. I'll have a smoke and I feel the adrenaline kicks in and I can mix like a demon.
yeah I find that as well, a doobie can help, but anymore than that and its overdeamonds wrote:seem to be able to concentrate better when iv had a spliff n im mixing, TWO and im in the zone
when I'm by my self it's fine but I reckon the weed hightens the pranging aspect of mixing in front of peopleTomity wrote:I'll get home, do some work, mix for about an hour and its all good. I'll then have a spliff and REALLY want to mix but then the problems start.
