Dubstep on CD
Dubstep on CD
Hello. I'm just getting into this dubstep thing. Anyways, I was wondering if there was a location on the web one can get dubstep on CD rather than vinyl. I just bought Burial and Dubstep Allstars Vol. 3 from Boomkat, but I am wanting more. Any help?
Also, apologies if this has been asked before and I didn't see it when I searched.

There's Benga 'Newstep.' Forthcoming from Tempa will be 'All Stars 4' and 'Roots of Dubstep.' Planet Mu has Boxcutter's 'Oneiric,' Vex'd 'Degenerate' and I think an album or two more forthcoming. Plasticman should be coming on Rephlex. Rephlex also put out the 'Grime' vol. 1 & 2 compilations which feature Plasticman, Mark One, SLT Mob, Kode 9, Digital Mystikz and Loefah. And Destructive Recordings have the Search and Destroy mix 'Back to the Underground.'

Boomkat is a good bet. Juno as well. Over here you might try Forced Exposure or Breakbeat Science. I've got a pretty complete list of shops here: http://www.riddim.ca/index.php?option=c ... &Itemid=23
download hotflush recordings mixes from the website

most recent ones, see date.

try get yo8urself "in fine style" and "to the rescue" http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=13242
and if you can find them, there are two compiliations on rephlex entitled grime I & II. more of a dubstep thing than grime.
nice!

I'm wondering about the Forward Live CDs mentioned in this thread. Is there anyway to get hold of them? Are they worth trying to track down? They appear to be out of print, as far as I can tell.
Also, for the benefit of those of us who aren't DJs, producers, musicians, or hardcore collectors, is there a good place around here or elsewhere to keep up with dubstep CD releases? Yeah, it's great that I can read about Macabre Unit and get mp3s from a 12" through bleep (and I have), but it's a lot easier to just try to buy CDs. Benga, Boxcutter, Burial, Skream, Kode 9 and the Spaceape, Distance, Various Production, MRK-1, Vex'd, Bass Clef; Skull Disco's Soundboy Punishment, Dubstep Allstars 1-5, Roots of Dubstep, Warrior Dubz, Box of Dub, Tectonic Plates, Science Faction -- I may not have absolutely all of them yet, but I know they exist. What don't I know about?
