easy mattdv, didnt even know anyone listened to dubstep round here lol
are there ever any events in the toon? i know distance was up here a while back but a load of old mates arrived at the last minute and i had to go DJ Derek with them instead, i was smiling on the outside but crying on the inside
although dj derek's a legend
oh yes bloody typical, i find this out 3 days before i move back down south ¬_¬Yeah, the next step is a dedicated dubstep night or room, at the moment its just sharing the stage with other genres.
a couple of my mates put a night on at cosmic ballroom a few weeks ago & baobinga played maybe 2 or 3 dubstep tunes, that's as much as i've heard up here
haha, we had a rave last week in a field at the back of Uni, and they spun about 3 Dubstep tracks in the mix...pk- wrote:a couple of my mates put a night on at cosmic ballroom a few weeks ago & baobinga played maybe 2 or 3 dubstep tunes, that's as much as i've heard up here
I got right up to the front, lovin it, but the crowd were SO not ready. Blank stares, like someone slapped them after the reggae.

i dj'ed a couple of raves in the woods near our uni, some people were really liking it, these guys took a video clip on their phone from the last one, and showed it to me cause they wanted to know what the really cool tune i was playing was.. which happened to be 'earth run a red'. kinda interesting cause they were into funky house and stuff, dont think theyd heard of dubstep but yeah, when that bass drops some people just *know*...
